Here's the first poem Mr. Lindsay ever shared with me...

I Didn't Break Any Laws
(But I Am Unethical)

As a man, I have many flaws
but, I didn't break any laws
It's true I have no ethics
but it's the voters who are pathetic

They know that I lie and cheat
and that I really did inhale
I accomplish an incredible feat
by staying out of jail

My subordinates are very loyal
even when they are embroiled
in personal liability
they lie to keep me free

they say I have nothing to hide
(I guess they don't want to commit suicide)
and that my hands are clean
but those who question my integrity
they are the ones who are really mean
of course, you know I feel your pain
and I lie again and again
but, you must remember, I am the President.

Jealousy

What a terrible emotion this is
Its reason is imponderable
destroying loving bliss
it causes us to be dishonorable

When the green-eyed monster strikes
insecurity is ripe
for accusations untrue
Oh, but what is does to you

It tears at your senses
bombarding your thoughts
bringing on stresses
hitting like a juggernaut

Until finally, if they use the name
in desperation, you play the game
but with it comes the guilt
and your love begins to wilt

Chalk it up to insecurity
caused by someone else
what’s missing is maturity
blame it on yourself

LOOKING OVER SOME OF HIS LATEST POSTS:

"Congress Targets the Patriot Act ^

Posted by poet to RobertM
On News/Activism ^ 11/18/2003 10:14 PM EST #12 of 12 ^

I have nothing to hide.

You are missing the point of the "act" and that is you are agreeing to place unlimited power in the
hands of strangers whom you think will do what's right and that is abject foolishness.

Perhaps, just perhaps, this administration won't invoke section 802 Clause A, B & C against
Americans, but, the fact remains they signed this into law without one moment of Congressional
discussion, therefore, they are suspect as to their true intentions as far as I'm conscerned. How
would you like to be held incommunicado indefinitely if someone were to bring false charges against
you?

The New World Order is not that far away from coming to fruition. Just look at all the international
groups we are members in:

1: The International Atomic Energy Agency;
2: The Internation Labor Organization,
3: The Food & Agricultural Organization,
4: The International Development Association;
5: World Health Organization;
6: The International Finance Corporation
7: The International Monetary Fund;
8: The International Civil Aviation Organization;
9: The International Postal Union;
10: The International Telecommunications Union;
11: The World Meteorological Association;
12: The Intergovernmental Maritime Consultive Organization
13: The General Agreement On Tariffs & Trades a/k/a GATT
14: The International Bank For Reconstruction &
Development a/k/a The World Bank
15: The United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural
Organization a/k/a/ UNESCO
16: The World Trade Organization a/k/a/ WTO

Do you see the pattern? How far away is the New World Order? The only thing that remains to bring
it forth is politicians whom you trust to willingly give up our sovreignty. Far Fetched? I think not.

I am not a fan of the aclu, however, if I happen to agree with their position relative to the obscene
"act", then, so be it.

Congress Targets the Patriot Act ^

Posted by poet to mrsmith
On News/Activism ^ 11/18/2003 10:51 AM EST #6 of 12 ^

"Why?"

Why? Because it is a naked grab for power by the gov't to stifle future dissent and criticism of gov't
policy(s).

It has nothing whatsoever to do with patriotism. The acronym is a not so clever use of semantics to
fool people (you know the ones, those who want cradle to the grave security from Big Brother). It
means Providing Appropiate Tools Required to Intercept & Obstruct Terrorism! In fact, the original
acronym was USAPA which added Uniting & Strengthening etc.,.

Instead of restricting the liberties & freedoms of Americans, the gov't should CLOSE our borders.
Short of doing that, thers is no real "war" on terrorism, rather, it is a selective "war".

If you want to read the pros & cons of this monstrous law, do a Google search.

End of rant.

Polarization of voters ^

Posted by poet to Semper
On News/Activism ^ 11/11/2003 12:19 PM EST #9 of 12 ^

"We do need political upheaval however"

I know you mis-directed your #7 to me, however:

IMO, what we need is polarization that places Constitutional Conservatives in one party and
Liberals/ Moderates/Neo-Conservatives in one party.
Having a mix of political philosophies in parties allows a takeover of a given party as has happened
to the republican party and democrat parties.

In the republican case we have "pretend" conservatives and in the democrat party we have a
takeover of the leadership by leftists/socialists. In both instances, they spend, spend, spend & tax,
tax, tax except the neo-cons give us an occasional cookie of small tax breaks, but, on the whole, all
we get from both parties is "crumbs".

Consider the obscene NEW spending of the administration and their acceptance of the democrat's
domestic aganda, i,e,; Their "Education" bill, Adding new airport security personnel (more than
60,000 New employees) on the taxpayers backs instead of turning it over to private enterprise, the
acceptance of the dem's positions of giveing lawbreakers amnesty and citizenship, their silence on
California's driver licenses for illegals, etc,. etc.,.

Bottom line, we have Different names, Different approaches, Same results. Here in Kaleefornia, the
"conservatives" abandoned their announced "core beliefs" and voted for a guy who is diametrically
opposed not only to their supposed core beliefs, but, also the Republican Platform, just so they
could have a victory. Can you say, political whores?

It's the Future danger of Section 802 which has no expiration date. This obscenity in the hands of
clinton types as respects the conjunctive clauses 5A, 5B (i) & (ii) and C that poses this danger. And
yes, I have read the act and also other opinions by doing a Google search.

Only people who want "security" at any cost accept this act because a republican signed it into law.
If the lowlife clinton had done it, well, you know the mantra.

FYI, the original acronym was USAPA. It was changed to "patriot" to give it the impression that it
had something to do with patriotism which is does not! Here is what the "patriot" acronym means "
Providing Appropiate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism", clever use of semantics
don't you think? As for the meaning of USAPA, add Uniting & Strengthening, etc,;.

There are legal scholars who say all that had to be done was to add "domestic terrorism" to existing
law, therefore, this draconian law is not needed. Finally, in view of the fact that to date we have still
NOT locked down our borders, do you really believe there is a "war" on terrorism or is the word
being being used selectively? Why is Saudia Arabia getting a free ride? Only when our borders are
closed will I believe there is a real War on terrorism.

I leave you with the following quote:

"The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it."-- H.L. Mencken"

HE WAS ONE OF THE WISE ONES. HE WILL BE MISSED.

Poet: "Mud, here's one for your daughter:

Of Whom The Angels Sing

Oh yes, the Angels will sing
their voices will fill the air
they will sing of Heavenly things
of Yahshua Messiah, Yahweh’s heir

Will their Hosannas ring
and reach into your heart
will you also sing
will you make a new start?

The time will surely come
when everyone
will know that He is the King
of whom the Angels sing

Those who believe
will rejoice
they will finally see Him
and hear His voice

After all those lonely years
of holding to their faith
he will wipe away their tears
as they end their long wait

When He sits upon His throne
they'll no longer be alone
the bells of Heaven will ring
of whom the Angels sing
of whom the Angels sing

Poet: Here's one I wrote about the Disciples. Hope you enjoy it:

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
four great men who are now gone
they spoke of His mission on earth
following His virgin birth

Peter, James, Judas, Thomas
all chosen to spread the promise
the others were lesser known
but Disciples still
they started out all alone
and witnessed Calvary hill

They healed the sick and the maimed
casting out devils in His name
they faced great danger
preaching of the One born in a manger

There was one weak link in the chain
one who sought monetary gain
the elders knew he could be bought
his name: Judas Iscariot

They gave him his silver pieces
thirty in all
waiting for that fateful night
for the kiss to bring about His fall

All this was pre-ordained
there was nothing to gain
in the final analysis
by their callousness
little did they know
His capture
was but a prelude
to His rapture

And our redemption

I would like to thank you Mudboy Slim for posting this tribute thread for my father, aka: Poet.
All of your kind words and prayers are greatly appreciated.
My father was actually in very good health at the time of his passing. He had his hip replaced about 30 years ago, over the years it would "pop out" of it's socket, and he would need to have it reset. This was of course very painful procedure for him. In order to put it back in place they would give him anesthetic, adjust the hip as needed, and we would take him a few hours later. We went through this with him many times over the years, this time however, he never came out of the anesthesia. Other then his hip, he was in very good health and remained active all his life. In fact the hip popped out while he was opening up his comic book store for business that day. So this was a very sudden and traumatic passing for us.
He took great pleasure posting to this site and would often have me sit in while he was getting flamed for his sometimes unpopular views. He really got a kick out of that.
He also loved writting and sharing his poetry with everyone.
Again I want to thank all of you that posted some of his poems. He would have beamed with pride.
We all miss being able to share his wisdom, positive attitude, and loving heart.
John leaves behind a daughter, two sons and four grandchildren. All of us miss him terribly.
On behalf of all us, Thank you all very much.

Poet's "Exposed"

The liberal will give you a handout
Conservatives, a helping hand
Liberals think you’re just a lout,
a pebble in the shifting sand

They’ll give you a monthly check
just give them your vote
for a few pieces of gold
your dignity has been sold

Liberals want generations
of people on the dole
they want a nation
which has no Soul

We say, we’re born to be free
liberals say, not you, just me
they will provide “security”
but, you must give up liberty

Liberals don’t want God in schools
they give us government tools
propagandizing our children into fools
“teaching” them to “ feel”, not think
placing this nation on the brink

They are in for a surprise
the beast they idolize,
the one they admire
will be cast into the Lake of Fire,
the culmination of Yahweh’s ire

Now don’t get me wrong,
conservatives have gone along,
we’ve made many mistakes
we’re willing to admit
at times we didn’t get it

If there’s one weakness we have,
we accept speeches as salve,
wanting to believe
what we’re told by thieves

They speak of the Lord
striking a chord,
for those of us who believe,
accepting the deceit they weave

It’s time we woke up
no longer drink from their cup
nor let them use us anymore
these political whores

Matters not the label they wear
they don’t really care
they just want us to be there
to vote them in
to continue their corruption
without interruption
