Aaron McGruder and the Boondocks (Second Thoughts)

Aaron McGruder, whose cartoon comic strip "The Boondocks" appears in the Inquirer and is known for its attacks on Republicans, went on a syndicated television show recently and denounced National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice as a killer on "America's Black Forum."

"I don't like Condoleezza Rice because she's a murderer," McGruder said, adding, "We can discuss this illegal Iraq war, the slaughtering of innocent people, and because she's one of the big hawks in this administration, I do not even see why this is a point of contention."

McGruder did not mention Democratic presidential candidate Al Sharpton. He probably forgot that Sharpton was a conscienceless racial agitator in New York, a major figure in the Tawana Brawley rape hoax. Sharpton also helped provoke a disagreement between a Jewish storeowner and a black tenant. Sharpton sometimes joined picketers to shout about "bloodsucking Jews" and "Jew bastards." They threatened to burn down the building. Finally one of Sharpton's disciples ran into the building, shot three people and ignited a fire that left seven dead.

Precisely the point I raised, right on these very boards, several weeks ago... to thunderous silence. Grrrrrrr. :)

Boondocks is a nasty left wing cartoon. Recenty had a charactter imply Ann Coutler is a guy and if Larry Elder liked her he may be gay, just another reason he is a self-hating black man.

That was just in one daily four panel episode. Whew!

However, I accept such crap as the price to pay for the freedom to look at Millard Filmore everyday in the Washington Times.

That paper has always given a forum to affirmative-action no-talents like this punk McGruder. He's basically got ten drawings, three shadings for each, and snappy dialogue gleaned from the restroom walls down at the Black Student Union hall.

I now pick up the New York Post every day.

While it may be too late for Aaron to change his own attitude, the odds are good that if he has children, they'll grow up with a better education, and come to reject their father's bigotry and prejudices.

Nah. I doubt that McGruder's spawn will generate that much interest unless they earn it by their own achievements. Cartoonist's kids might as well be orphans. The cartoon characters always get more attention. The Kennedys had no artistic abilities, that's why their offspring became the cartoon characters.
