Please pray for President Bush's understanding of Islam and Christianity. This could do in his whole Presidency.

Of all the things to focus on, you choose this, falling into the trap of the idiot reporter who asked that intentionally divisive question.

This is so far from the truth it is laughable. Most Christians believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). The Muslims believe that makes Christians polytheists. The Muslims do not belive that Jesus is the Son of God, nor that God is a triune being.

We do not worship nor belive in the same God. Sure, He has the same name, but that is where all similarity stops.

The God of marrying a 6 year old girl and raping her when she's 9?

This is your beef with the President today? Please. I actually think he is right. Just because the terrorists have a distorted view of God doesn't mean all people do. The Almighty is the Almighty. I agree with President Bush.

President bush is correct. Jews, Christians (Mormons, Baptists, Catholics, etc), Muslims all worship the same God.

You may not like it, but it's true. If you deny that the God of the Muslims is the God of the Christians then you must deny that the God of the Catholics is the God of the Baptists or the Mormons or the adventists.

Now Mohamed may very well be a false prophet (and I'm very inclined to agree that he is) and the spin he placed on the judeah core of the religion is also therefore false but the same exact God is being worshiped.

Well, when you think about it, they both believe in only one God. So don't they answer the "Who has the correct God?" question just by that? By their own decree, there is but one God. Allah, Yaweh, God...same guy. The difference lays withing which attributes you believe in the most strongly. Christians belive in the love and forgiveness - Islamic extremist believe in the jihads and smiting.

Can you understand this?

One of the problems with Islam is that the more devout tend to become more violent or anti-social, which is in contrast with most other religions where the truly devout become more peaceful or concentrate on good-works or inner peace.

Muslims may contend that all of these warped maniacs are misreading the Koran. If that's the case there are millions of mis-readings going on as we speak. Not tens, hundreds or even thousands. Millions.

A large majority of devout Muslims are sympathetic to the Islamo-sickies at worst, or endorse such actions at best. Unless they start policing themselves eventually people are going to start taking them seriously when they say they want to wipe us out.

I for one am damn near ready to let the "wiping out" begin. See I have this strange desire to see my children grow up and prosper. If they tell intend to kill our women and children, I say we show them what the killing of women and children is all about .... until they stop designing ways to kill ours.

The Palestinian children are useless to the world as their elders (3/4 of whom hate us and want Israel destroyed) have wasted their lives by turning them into rabid little animals who whack themselves on the head with the Koran at "school" where their maps don't include Israel. They're not children ...they're larvae. Such "children" become adults who have nothing to offer the world besides strife and suffering.

Some of us are carrying real anger right now, of the biblical type. Some of us are very concerned over ours and our loved ones future. If this sentiment is allowed to permeate and Christians do decide to what the Arabs suggest, which is entering into a "holy war,” things are going to get ugly indeed.

If Muslims want to worship the Judeo-Christian God, they are welcome to do so. But who in hell wants to worship Allah, a pagan moon god of murder and hatred?

Nope. it is true.

God is God.

Our understanding of him is made perfect thru God's revealations in Jesus Christ.

But many non believers in Jesus nevertheless worship God as best they understand him, although their understanding of him is partial or distorted. That is why we find good people in all religions.

Remember when Paul saw the shrine to the unknown God? He didn't tell the worshippers that they were worshipping a false God, but showed them that this "unknown god" had come to earth as Jesus to tell them more about himself.

This is how we evangelize other cultures. Many good people become Christian because they find a deeper truth of their original beliefs in Christ's teaching. They are not rejecting their God, but recognizing that they had an incomplete or distorted idea in their original beliefs, and were happy that they now saw the true picture...

Most muslims love God as revealed by Abraham and Moses. They have many distortions in their religion, but it is the same God...

I would like to see how worship of a 3000 year old dead moon god is the worship of God Almighty. My God does not advocate rape of 6 year olds. My God sent his only begotten Son to die on the cross for my sins and who rose from the dead three days later.

Islam is a cult and false religion. For President Bush to make a statement as this is a slap in the face to many citizens of the respective states who are Christian

Allah, Yaweh, God...same guy.

No, no, no. To Muslims God is a singular entity. To Christians He is a triune being. That is nowhere near the same God. Same name, that is it. Their view of God, forgiveness etc is nothing similar to the Christian view. Same historical figure of God, but that is it. The beliefs are so far removed from one another and in so much of a different direction that we are talking about two distinctly different gods. I understand the arguement that they came from the belief system in the middle east. That is it though. One is such a distorted view that they have basically highjacked a God. They are good at highjackings!
