I propose a "White man In White Van" day. Every 17 Novemeber, at 3 PM, all white men in white vans shall pull over, get out of their vans, and assume the position on the side of their vans. Maybe it would be a better memorial if they just stopped in traffic for five minutes.

What do you think?

This is the wrong verdict. According the the Brady Bunch, the gun committed all these murders.

I thought twice before introducing OJ into this -- but I couldn't think of a better example of a jury disconnected from reality.

And I concur with your notes on folks being badly frightened by this. As I said above, my mother in law is no coward (she was raised on a farm and she's about as brave a woman as I know) but she was saying, "Don't come."

Jury took just 7 hours.

But OJ was going to help him find the real sniper and Jesse Jackson hasn't weighed in yet ...

Is life in prison too good for these two?

IMO, one more minute of breathing is too good for these two!

They slaughtered a fine woman and nearly killed another in Montgomery on their way back from Louisiana to their D.C. area terrorist attacks.

Jury took just 7 hours.

It even surprised me they took that long. Any sentence he'll receive will be too good for him.

If Muhammad's smart, he'll deal.

No prosecutor will take that bet, if he wants to keep his job.

If JAM knew squat, he would've coughed it up already.

I'm surprised it took 7 hours. His opening statement was basically an admission, telling the jury why he was speaking to them instead of his lawyers: "They wasn't there. I was. I know what happened, and I know what didn't happen."

Why would the jury need more than 5 minutes to convict, unless they wanted another day of court-provided donuts and bologna sandwiches.

I am an opponent of the death penalty. I believe there is something profoundly wrong with willingly taking the life of another human being. I also feel that the death penalty is NOT ENOUGH for most of the scum that deserve the dealth penalty. There are things that are worse than death.

These scum should be shipped to Siberia (or an Alaskan counterpart if the US had the balls), and WORKED TO DEATH. This isn't creul and unusual, and these scum need some time to at least regret what they've done. And on a meaner note their only source of nutrition should be from pork products.

Yep, I agree. My daughter had just moved to our town. She wanted me to take her to look for a job. We put the baby in his car seat and off we went. We went to out local shopping mall. The baby started crying and getting cranky. I told my daughter, "Let's go home, put the baby down for a nap, and come back tomorrow."

Thank God we left when we did! When we got home, I turned on the T.V. and there it was. These creeps had shot a woman at the "Michaels," auboy, we were in that parking lot. We must have just left when the Snipers were getting ready to shot this poor lady. I could hardly believe it!

Yeah, let's see if the old Al Fuqra comes up at all. I doubt it will. The media is too lazy and PC, and the FBI looks like they dropped the ball (again).

Not sure that genie will stay in the lamp forever. Bernard Henry Levy's book "Who Killed Daniel Pearl?" delves deeply into Jamaat al Fuqra, and mentions the connection to John Muhammad.

I wonder how soon the candlelight vigils will start, and the arms-linked-across American will begin. When will the Euroweenie heads of state and the UN nabobs start petitioning GW for "compassion"?

When will the chants of "Free Muhammed" begin and when will Katie Couric will interview his mother?

Well, maybe even the libs won't touch this one.

Particularly PLEASED that the (VA) state TERRORISM charges had stuck, which is what the crimes were IN FACT/IN REALITY, clear and simple, on a mass scale across the Nation's Capital area.

Also, wondering how this will play out in the Arab press today?

For example, with al Jazeera,et. al. We should watch their reaction.

After all; "Islam....convert......terrorist..... panic.....Muhammad......sniper......successful conviction.......death penalty..."

At any rate, Virginia did something right. Sic semper tyrannis everyone.

Well, maybe even the libs won't touch this one.

Considering how liberal the DC area is, and how much anxiety the attacks caused, they probably will let this one slide without comment. I am sadly amused by how anti-DP advocates suddenly shut up when the criminal hits close to their home -- I also know several people strongly opposed to the DP who still wanted Timoth McVeigh fried...

But I swear if I see my state (Maryland) move to spend money prosecuting this little s***

My state too...at least it's where I live.
If Md had their way he would have been given a slap on the wrist and an immediate pardon.

Thank God he was tried in Va.
