SafeSurf - I have used them to classify my web sites since I began creating them a few years ago. It was a great idea to centralize an area where parents could go and find websites that would not offend honest and moral and normal people.

I KNOW I'm going to be "flammed" for the "NORMAL" term, but I don't care because that is reality. Can anyone remember back only 20-30 years ago to what was considered to be acceptable and NORMAL behavior?

I can remember and I still have my morals and memories of what is CORRECT.

The idea here is that the parents set their own 'acceptable levels' for each category, right? So what's the problem?

I wouldn't be surprised if the 'heterosexual' category exists primarily because (1) the makers of SafeSurf recognized the demand for a 'homosexual' category, but (2) did not want to themselves discriminate against homosexuals. So even if many people decide to e.g. set the homosexual limit to 1 and the heterosexual limit to 4, it won't be SafeSurf discriminating against gay sites.
