Commission members say they are trying to determine how Norad responded to the first reports of the hijackings and whether the military could have done anything to prevent the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, possibly by using fighter jets to shoot down the passenger planes.This is a bunch of B.S. Since when do we have a pre 9-11 history of shooting down hijacked planes? Had that happened and 9-11 not occurred there would have been such a hue and cry that it would have been deafening. They call W a cowboy now! Could you imagine what they'd be calling him if those planes had been shot down? Remember, if we'd shot down the planes we'd still be in a 9-10 world and nobody would have REALLY known what those shoot downs had averted. What a load of crap.
