Instead of confronting Democrats over what may be the most serious breach of national security since the Clinton administration allowed a Democratic Party donor to provide missile guidance technology to China, Republicans have urged further bipartisan cooperation with Rockefeller and his staff.

And once again the gutless GOP takes it up the wazzoo and just smiles. A display of backbone would be really nice, for a change.

So, go ahead! Show some backbone! Email Hannity at FoxNews, email your senators, make some calls, DO SOMETHING!

I don't see this as gutless as just plain stupid. If Sen. Rockefeller doesn't want to renounce the memo what should that say to the Republicans on the committee? If the Republicans are going to roll over and play dead until the DEMONcrats leak SELECTIVE sensitive information then I say it's time for new leadership within the Republican party. At a minimum they should demand an investigation.

At least Jessica Lynch seemed upset that it happened to her.

Most of the "leadership" are invertebrates, to judge by their behavior.

We need to stop writing off the continual Republican betrayals of the nation and their base as being due to spinlessness and begin to ask ourselves exactly what the real reason is.

Expect the usual "compassionate conservatives" of the GOP like Orrin Hatch to handle these kinds of blatant pot shots at the President with kid gloves, rather than a go-for-the-throat Pubbie like Tom DeLay....

Remember, most GOPers never want to risk embarrassing the Democrats -- it might make them look "mean."

The rats have handed the GOP a sword; they should stick it in and twist it, with relish.

Good news! Bill Frist temporarily shut down the Senate Intelligence Committee. He's demanding that the 'Rats reveal the author of this memo.
