Good post, but I can tell you that I'm still angry and I'm still on this!
I emailed Senator Roberts this morning telling him this is NOT going away. We can all let our senators know that this is endangering our troops and compromising our President's ability to prosecute the war--it's filthy with Billary and WE KNOW IT.

Instead of confronting Democrats over what may be the most serious breach of national security since the Clinton administration allowed a Democratic Party donor to provide missile guidance technology to China, Republicans have urged further bipartisan cooperation with Rockefeller and his staff. And once again the gutless GOP takes it up the wazzoo and just smiles. A display of backbone would be really nice, for a change.

I am simply astounded at the "who cares" attitude exhibited by repubs. This is dangerous to our country. This could be what allows something very bad to happen.
I don't want my Senate run like this, not at all.
Yes, the dems will pay a price at the polls for this... but don't think repubs won't pay too if they fail to protect our intel.

Asked on Thursday what needed to be done to address the security breach, Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kans., said only, "The answer is simple. We go back to work. We have documents yet to review." Yes, Senator, and if you do just "go back to work", they will probably be the last documents that your committee ever sees.
Thanks to some RAT staffer or Senator, President Bush now has a trump card whenever he wants to refuse to give the committee ANY documents.

Still, elected Republicans both on and off the Senate Intelligence Committee have expressed nothing like Miller's outrage. 800+ FBI files and blackmail will work wonders.

Instead they leave it up to Zel Miller to express the appropriate outrage.

I really hate to say it, but I am starting to wonder if some of the FBI files that former occupiers of the Whitehouse had may have compromising information on a lot of Republican Senators.
Maybe the Senate needs to be closed down, cleaned out, and repopulated after the next election?

I've contributed to the RNC from time to time, and, received a call lastnight looking for some more bucks. I told them they were not going to receive another penny from me unless something serious is done by the Republican members of this committee to get to the bottom of this and stop playing nice-nice with the RATS. The man making the call was polite and sympathizing but, started to give me the spiel of "well, without your monetary support we may lose the committee and never get to the bottom of it". He started another script line when I stopped him and told him not to bother, lets see some action and, when Rockefeller or someone from his staff resigns, he can feel free to call me back for a donation. He thanked me and that was the end of our conversation. I doubt this particular worker will be calling me back.

There isn't another person on FreeRepublic who has been labeled a "statist" or "Bush-bot" than I, but I will tell you, up front, that I truly wish that the Republicans would grow at least one set of cajones. They would have one set then to pass around amongst themselves so that, at least at one time or another, they could act like men and stand up for what's right, not merely just to get along.
The Republicans don't need bi-partisanship; they need to break out the guillotines and start the cleansing.

I just faxed Sen Rockefeller's office, and got through... Here is what I faxed him...
Senator Rockefeller,
Notice I didnt say Honorable
That is because what you are doing in the intelligence committee is despicable, and poisonous to our national debate. And for that reason you must first disavow the Democrat strategy as lined out in the memo from your office, and then you must resign your post on the intelligence committee, immediately.
You know, down in your innermost being, that if any Republican was caught red-handed with such a damndable device, you would ride them not only out of their Honored position but out of the Senate.
Furthermore for you to try to rationalize this thing makes you look not just malevolent, but unabashedly malevolent; Which, exposes you as nothing more than an ideologue whose only interest is to maintain political power at any cost, putting your own political interest ahead of that of the Nation; Which, in effect, goes to weaken and even denigrate our national security; Which, if attributed to a Republican would likely castigate him as having committed an act of treason, if not brought up on charges of treason.
I therefore demand you step down from your position on the intelligence committee, and disavow this devilish strategy.
A conscientious citizen of the United States of America, and voter.

Already knew Hillary was behind this, as she has been all along. Covering up battlefield casualties is a joke as the (her )media announces each death daily, and her friends at DU rejoice over each one.
Also, the fact that no cameras are at the returning of the caskets is a policy carried out by her own husband as well when he, or more correctly she, was President.
