Vanity

I just caught a preview for Greta's show.

Woman who came out of long coma on Fox News at 10 pm Eastern - Greta's show.

I suppose they'll connect to Terri's story?

The government already decides such things.

THANKS! Interesting as well is that David Blaine was on LKL last night, talking about his 44 days with just plain water, no food. Did you happen to catch that? said it was uncomfortable, and that was with water and without the terror of it being a death sentence.

In the Geraldo interview, its been pointed out Darden is NOT the FL state AG. Geraldo must have been posing a hypothetical...

as in Darden - 'ASSUMING' you are the FL state AG, and you are defending Jeb Bush...

Well it looks like we have another troll surfacing in the swamp!

In true troll fashion he has dumped his load and moved on.

Bye, bye, Dr. therut

Dehydration and starvation are HORRIBLE deaths, I would never ever subject my worst enemy or even an animal to them! This is not compassion in the least.... I can not think of a more painful and horrible way to die...

Isn't Rus Cooper-Dowda the one who, when she was FINALLY given a marker and paper to write with - as her husband and the doctor were joking about her being brain-dead - wrote DIVORCE HIM?

The fact that Terri Schiavo is given no opportunity to communicate is yet another reason why it should be a black-and-white issue for thinking people: If anyone really cares "what she would want," then give her the tools to express herself - there are plenty available.

"Dr. Therut" is an anagram (a stupid one, but what you can expect) for "Red truth."

When someone says, 'I wouldn't want to live like that,' it's believing it will never happen to you. When it does, it's not a bad life or a useless life. It's a changed life."

I think that statement is very important as I have seen SO many people make it. She is correct, it is easy to say something when you're not in the position and, unfortunately, when you get in the position, you can't tell folks that you really didn't mean it. That is why life should always win over death. We do not have the right to arrogantly decide that Terri's life is not worth living.

It happens alot with C-sections

Yikes, but with a csection, aren't you 'awake' from the waist up, so couldn't you say "OUCH, I FELT THAT"?????
I'm 8 mos preg, and most likely will have a csec.
please don't scare the hell out of me like that! :)

I didn't mean to scare you .. I guess I shouldn't have used the word alot

I'm not sure of all the different procedures

My sisters were knocked out and weren't fully wake even though they knew what was going on.

Theirs were emergency c-sections and the drugs didn't kick in time.

And don't worry .. I am sure all will be find with you and the baby .. and Congrats

There is so much proof for us to see that we must, as a civilized society, err on the side of caution--on the side of LIFE!!

And I'm sorry but when you marry your spouse is your next of kin under law.Conservatives are crapping in their own pampers wanting the GOVERNMENT to decide life and death decisions. I thought we supported marriage.

I hope you are just saving your critical thinking skills for when you are on the job, and that you really can do better than this.

It is the purpose of the law to protect innocent human life. LAW: It is the basic justice system for THE PEOPLE, so each invidual is equally protected, whether or not that person is a minor, or married or a priest. I hope someday the status of a person's age, whether 16 weeks post conception or 16 weeks post onset of puberty, won't affect the legal protection of life either.
As for supporting marriage as a covenant recognized by the law, we also must judge whether the husband and wife are honoring the covenant. To legally honor a sham adulterous union is to harm marriage, not support it.
Barfing up GOVERNMENT as if it is the bitter enemy when it seeks to protect a vulnerable life when you are defending an unrecognized right to starve someone is not conservatism.
