I think that one needs to start with some HEAVY medication. A woman? In his dreams.

I refuse to engage him. It would be nothing but a mental feces throwing contest. He is disrespectful and condescending and looking for a fight, so while I might pity his ignorance and lack of relationship with God, I don't have to get down there and wallow in the sewer with him. He is obviously in need of a little more research (of the life experience sort) before he will be open enough, or desperate enough, to hear what others would try to say or to recognize his need for God.

There's a brick wall and a hedge. People who want to show support for Terri and her family are there at their convenience, including nightly candlelight vigils. It's worse than Gitmo inside Hospice but outside where the vigils are, it is good. It's one of those "you had to be there" kind of deals. It is hard to explain how good set up so close to evil.

My latest research has been into a pilot program in New York in which children with diseases or chronic illnesses are being sent to hospices instead of hospitals, even though they are not dying ( sound familiar?). All at the hands of George Soros, the minister of death.

And financed, of course, by the Project on Death in America. George's pet project of all time, his attempt to socially engineer our country into his beliefs in favor of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide.

In 1994 Soros said that in three years "they" would have a role model and leader in place in 1/4 of the medical schools in this country.

I wonder if those pediatric specialists from Boston Childrens ICU who want to harvest organs before death were trained under Soros role models?

Same with my son a twin bed with rails cannot contain someone with severe CP.

We use a King water bed.

He tried some independant living but it was to unsafe.

I have a twin bed set up next to his bed so if he pulls the sheet over his head, trach he has someone to rescue him.

Can't wear shirts to bed I use small baby blankets to cover his chest with flannel lounge pants and the mist and o2 machines keep the room warm along with his studio light above the bed.

People just don't get! Round the clock care means around the clock. Literally.

The trolls are part of society that will never get it.

They themselves are termeninal. Reminds me of liberals and the density of their ability to understand simple issues.

I don't know about other careproviders around FR but hanging out on Teri threads is very painful and incites such anger.

Hope Teri is doing well.

This is all her guardians doing as so many of these cases.

I do not ever see this case as a "slippery slope" regardless of the outcome because their are so many of us who support and care for the severly disabled that we would kick ass when it comes to our loved ones.

Finding good care in the home is not easy either. I have a careprovider for 24yrs. and finding respite is a bear.

When I find a good worker(s) I use them and take time off.

However home health care attracks the "takers" and "theifs" in society.

On a related note, does anyone know what's up with a senate bill to remove lewd and lacivious behavior as a disqualifying factor for guardians?

I have an idea.

Doesn't FL have the initiative process, as do AR, CA, and CO, for instance? Why can't we initiate a couple or three of laws to benefit Terri and try to force an immediate special election? Perhaps a law on qualification of guardians. Or something on written permission being required to withhold feeding tubes? I don't think we can wait until next November though, for the courts will have dehydrated her again by then. The FL courts are liberal beyond belief!!! Even if nominally "Republican" in some cases.

It seems to me it is all about power games. When he said the parents want to make his life hell, I felt that he was projecting. It appears he wants to make the parents' life hell.

Could be prophetic though. If Terri regains the ability to speak, oh boy what a story she may have to tell. And it's an attempted-murder charge for Michael. I'd call that severe heck, if not hell.

What temperature is Schiavo keeping the hospice room now? Didn't he put it at 80 degrees during the dehydration? Now is back at 64? Maybe he will have it so cold that Wolfson will get sick when he goes for the visit and resign from the case.

I consider it useful to let people know - especially lurkers, media types and so on - that some people are here solely to disrupt the debate, and may in fact be agents of Schiavo, which is what some people here suspect "Harv" to have been.
Some, like ddep6 and Legerdemain, cannot be refuted because they just say the same thing over and over again and don't debate in a rational way. In fact, d6 just copies and pastes the same paragraphs. I asked for evidence citing the lack of a cortex and there was no response.

I know, oceanperch, that these threads incite anger in you, and that is understandable.
To any trolls who doubt her knowledge as a parent/caregiver of a dependent person, she has much to contribute, having real-time experience!!!
I met her in person, and it is amazing just to observe her tender demeanor with her son, caring for him completely.
You can see the love there, more evident and a little different than ordinary people.
She can give doubting people a side of this issue, from the caregiver's position, what it means, they are the ones on the front lines who should have a huge input into decisions, they are the ones with FIRSTHAND, EYEWITNESS, upfront, INFORMATION!!!!!
It's a shame those who are so selfish in their views, even though we have the right to state them, that their eyes are blinded from the facts.
They just keep on repeating the same media mantra, and the old Lenin quote of telling a lie often enough gets believed,is so true,as we witness here.
I always try to encourage or challenge people to "seek and you shall find the answer", instead of just making rude claims against people's religion.
We are truly blessed to have the information "highway" for resources, I just think a lot of people haven't yet come to that realization of the value of it.
