What "whole Halle thing"? Her hit-and-run and got-away-with-it accident?

Hey, was that scene supposed to be held against the film?I didn't hold those puppies against anything....
(Except the smack upside the back of my head by She-who-must-be-obeyed when they came on the screen...)

Yeah, and the scene where Stanley has to break a code while getting a very nice favor from a chick was kinda different. Every computer geek out there must have that same dream.

Brosnan was also quite good as a master art thief in a film with Renee Russo.
He played the suave Bondish character who gets 'investigated' by the Sotheby's art insurance cop played by Russo-good film!

I work with a bunch of nerds, and the universal response to that scene was, "Gosh, why can't that ever happen to me?"

No, I was referring to her getting $500,000.00 per bazooka to do that one extra sunbathing scene
But when she is making $8 million per pic, I guess it all adds up..

The fact that Ian Fleming portrayed Bond as cool and cold blooded is why I liked Timothy Dalton. In fact, Dalton is probably the only one of the lot that actually went back and read some of the Bond books in preparation for the role.

Presumably, by tehn, he will no longer be tied down by his Broadway gigi as Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz.What kind of reviews is that getting?

I have thought for a long time that Jackman was going to be one of the biggest stars around.
I wonder if this will hinder him having to shoulder Bond and all?

It was 'Thomas Crown Affair.' Excellent movie.. sort of different than Bond, (but the same) except Brosnan is the not-so-bad ultra suave master art theif

I was hoping for a Timothy Dalton comeback. Dalton was terrible. James Bond has to have an air of almost superhuman competence and invulnerability, without quite letting it spill over into outright spoof (the way Roger Moore did).
Both Connery and Brosnan projected that characterization. They both acted as though their predicaments were real and dangerous; that they could get killed if they failed to do their utmost; but that they were otherwise destined to prevail no matter what the odds.
Dalton acted as though he was constantly out of his depth. He'd hesitate, and appear vulnerable, and he projected a sense of false bravado instead of inner confidence.
I have a good feeling about Jackman. He's an excellent actor with a wide range and a powerful presence. I certainly didn't recognize "Wolverine" as being the same actor who played "Leopold" opposite Meg Ryan until it was pointed out to me.
Jackman seems like a natural to take over the roll of 007.

I liked "Thomas Crown Affair." It wasn't as stylish as the original version with Steve McQueen, but the plot made a whole lot more sense.

I saw Dalton in "The Living Daylights" and "License to Kill" - and didn't see any of the vulnerability. Instead, there was a cold assassin, pretty much what Fleming wrote 007 as.
Not to mention the car chase (and the car) in "The Living Daylights" still ranks as one of the best in the Bond films. "I had a few optional extras installed."

I thought Christian Bale would be pretty good, but now he's Batman.

I agree, but he was saddled with bad scripts and a lack of originality.

Is that Hugh Jackman or Matthew Broadrick?
