CNN just caught with its' pants down! (Must read!)
Me
Posted on 10/27/2003 8:57:40 AM PST by God luvs America
I was sitting here watching CNN as they are covering the California wildfires. They were doing an interview with an actor about his role in a movie about a fraudulent reporter for the magazine "The New Republic". CNN cuts off the middle of this interview and breaks to a phone call with the "mayor of San Diego" who reportedly has news about three arrests in connection with the fires. They put this guy on the radio and he states that, "three arrests were made in connection with the fires. He cannot release the names of the people but can confirm the fires started with "wind coming out of the ass of Howard Stern." The CNN host (Darian Kagan), was furious, the network quickly goes to break and Kagan is still flustered.

Sometimes Stern's crap ain't funny. Agreed.
These "bababooy" hoaxes during breaking news are sick.
I remember they even did one during the Columbine incident.
If Stern isn't sick....his listeners are.
To: God luvs America
These Stern fans are such idiots. They pull that crap every time there's breaking news. What kind of no-life losers are these people to think such stupid pranks are humorous? Thirteen people dead... "Cool, let's make jokes about it."

Look on the bright side: (maybe) eventually the 24hr news-networks will try to get their own stories, instead of sitting-around and waiting for something to fall into their lap.

I like the people who get all angry "somebody's dead! it's not funny to make a joke!"
I don't know, but when I die, I hope somebody can find a way to use my death as a way of infuriating Dan Rather or CNN.
It will add a nice touching coda to my life.

These Stern fans are such idiots. They pull that crap every time there's breaking news. What kind of no-life losers are these people to think such stupid pranks are humorous? Thirteen people dead... "Cool, let's make jokes about it." I don't think they *are* making jokes about it.
Instead, the "joke" is CNN, and Stern's fans are making that obvious.
I see it as the Stern version of Freeping someone -- taking action to make their incompetence/corruption/etc. obvious to all.
In these cases, they're pointing out to the audience how just about any idiot can get CNN, etc. to put them on the air as an "authority". It's their way of saying, "don't believe everything you hear, the media 'experts' may not know their butts from a hole in the ground, or may even be a fraud with an agenda, and the news media are too sloppy/lazy to verify anything about the 'officials' they rely on for 'news'."

Look on the bright side: (maybe) eventually the 24hr news-networks will try to get their own stories, instead of sitting-around and waiting for something to fall into their lap.Not a chance. They rotate young kids in and out of those places so fast--they're lazy, essentially. (Why do you think most of them never dig deep to find the truth about almost anything political??)

The reason the Stern fans do it is because the networks put `em on the air!
They strike me as a lot more intelligent than the average reporter.

She said its' sad that people make light of a tragedy in the name of Howard Stern (which I agree with) but she was flustered. After the break she came back and assured everyone that the person they had on earlier in person was in fact the mayor of San Diego.
To: God luvs America
Somebody got Peter Jennings during the "OJ Standoff" as well. The caller pretended to be a black person who relied heavily upon ebonics as a linguistic guide. Jennings bought it hook line and sinker.
To: eddie willers
I can't stand Howard Stern either, and 90% of his fans are morons also, but you have to look at how long these ba-ba-booie pranks have been going on and see that the news clowns are just as stupid for continuosly falling for them. A wise man once said: "Stupid is as stupid does."
