SIX British schoolboys were taken to hospital after taking the anti-impotence drug Viagra in their lunch-break, school heads said today.
One of the pupils, all aged between 12 and 13, is believed to have brought the Viagra tablets into an all-boys school in Winnersh, west of London, and handed them around to five of his friends.
The school called paramedics to the scene when they heard about the incident which happened last Tuesday and the boys were taken to the nearby Royal Berkshire Hospital.
"All six have subsequently been discharged and are not expected to suffer any ill-effects," said a spokeswoman from the local education authority.
"All of the tablets have been accounted for. The school has a strict no drugs policy and a pupil will be temporarily excluded for actions which placed other pupils at risk," the spokeswoman said.
Viagra was launched by pharmaceuticals giant Pfizer in 1998 as a breakthrough in the treatment of male impotence and is a prescribed drug, although it is available for sale on the Internet.
Sexual health experts have said the effects of the drug on young people are untested and side effects unknown.

"All six have subsequently been discharged and are not expected to suffer any ill-effects," said a spokeswoman from the local education authority. Was the spokswoman's name Mrs. Robinson, by chance?

All six have subsequently been discharged Sounds a little premature, if you ask me.

Taking Viagra at an all-male school? Well, experts do say the British Navy was founded on rum, buggery, and the lash.

Maybe this story gives new meaning to the three Rs--readin',writin', and rigidity.

"...an all-boys school in Winnersh, west of London..." They should have suspected something when the boys elected the the Spanish Fly as their new mascot...

Those young miscreants should do hard time for this. A rather stiff penalty, at the hands of the penile system.

I bet the headmaster will have bone to pick with these kids. If they call the cops and charge them with a crime, will they have to go through the penal system?
To: Brian S
They will undoubtedly receive a stiff sentence.
