Aurora Mayoral Candidate Filed For Bankruptcy Three Times

AURORA, Colo. -- Aurora mayoral candidate Debra Vickrey has admitted she filed for bankruptcy three times in the past 22 years.

She's the chairwoman of the Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners

and has served as a member of the

Aurora Planning Commission and the

Aurora City Council.

I always thought you could only file bankruptcy once, and that it was meant to be a life-changing event ... we must've gone to different schools ...

I guess I did too.


She is endorsed by the city of Aurora's Fire and Police Unions.

She is also endorsed by the two local newspapers.


But some folks think they are better and smarter than others.

I wonder if it has affected her judgment as Chair of the Arapahoe County Commissioners

in the County's spending habits for the last five or six years ?

I think you can do it(bankruptcy) every seven years...
in 22 years looks like a lifestyle to me, good fodder for a challeger....

She should run for Congress instead, she seems to be a natural at spending more money than she takes in.
