President Bush's grandfather was a director of a bank seized by the federal government because of its ties to a German industrialist who helped bankroll Adolf Hitler's rise to power, government documents show.

Prescott Bush was one of seven directors of Union Banking Corp., a New York investment bank owned by a bank controlled by the Thyssen family, according to recently declassified National Archives documents reviewed by The Associated Press.

If the media wants to investigate the Nazi past, perhaps they should do a hit piece about the people who still defend a certain leader who was one of Hitler's biggest supporters from almost the beginning until the middle of 1941. That's right -- right here in America, in our universities and media outlets, one can still find defenders of a leader who once was Hitler's biggest ally. And this leader was no slouch when it came to burning books, either (though he was less dramatic about it than Hitler). Is this some "vast right wing conspiracy" that there are people in positions of influence who still downplay the crimes of a notorious Hitler supporter? Not exactly. Even though he supported Hitler, he is still defended by certain elements of the far left -- his name was Josef Stalin.

If I'm not mistaken, Brian and his cohorts voted for the real Nazi in the last presidential election.

This is a new posting low for the SoBs, Sons of Buchanan.

Hello, AP, you couldn't smear Arnold when you accused him personally of Nazi sympathies so, naturally, you think you will fare better by going back two generations and tarring GWB with the same. How do these people stay in business?

I had the vague impression that George Bush 41 may have actually joined the military in order to erase any stain or suspicion. He became a heroic young fighter pilot. I think he proved his patriotism and valor.

This is just about the oldest news on Earth.

Just wait. This is orchestrated by the Dems. You will see that movie about Skull and Bones playing over and over and over again on cable over the next few months (kind of like the Fast and the Furious playing just about every night).

Let's see if I can get this right. The Bank Voor Handel of the Netherlands was actually controlled by the Thyssen. Bank Voor controlled Union Banking Corp of the USA, and Bush was one of seven named to the Board of Directors. He owned one share of the corporation (so his presence was obviously for show, as are many people who sit on boards of directors today). Fritz Thyssen, the big bug, broke with the Nazis in 1938.

Now it seems that a Harriman was a major stockholder in UBC, and of course Averill Harriman was a big bug in the Democrat Party -- but no mention of this. It is likely that the Democrats, and FDRoosevelt, were not at all interested in a potential Harriman scandal.

Following WWII the heirs of Fritz Thyssen invested in property in the United States, especially in Arizona.

It's all a plot.

The RCC runs religion, the Joos run the media and Bush and Arnold run American wih their Nazi ideals.

Well, I am glad we have that all figured out. Time for coffee.

Let em if they want. It may come back to bite them hard.

My senator is J.D. Rockefeller. If I'm not wrong, his grandfather funded the eugenics research that put all of those genocidal ideas in Hitler's head.
