Excuse me......I believe that was the dem. 'Doofus Davis' who made not one, but THREE *powerful appeals* to the 'hispanic' CA voters (tuition, foreign LEGAL ID cards, & CA driver's licenses).

You entirely missed the point: despite Davis's blatant pandering, the recall, and Arnold, each attracted significant minorities of Hispanic voters. Hispanic voters aren't stupid, and understand that the California Democrats' business-destroying policies, and Gray's blatant auction of state contracts to the highest political-contribution bidder, had to be stopped. We absolutely can win Hispanic votes.

And here's the important part: we have to be able to win a good share of those votes. Even if there were NOT ONE more illegal alien admitted to this country, Hispanic voters will still become a majority of the voters in California, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico within 20 years or so, and become strong minorities in most of the rest of the country. If we allow them to become a 90%+ Democrat monolith like African American voters, this country is going to have solid Democrat majorities coast to coast and top to bottom, when you add Hispanics to blacks and liberal whites and asians. Considering that relatively few people want to pay $9 for a head of lettuce or $150 to have their lawns mown, the odds are that there will not be the political will to stop illegal immigration, so the actual voting majorities (with their children added in) are going to grow even larger.

Next they'll be asking for the Hinckley & Schmitt dispensers to keep the water nice and cold.

Cripes, maybe they have already.
