Presidential hopeful Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said during Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debate that she can address “institutional racism” by explaining white privilege to women in the suburbs.
“I can explain it to white women in the suburbs,” Gillibrand said on the debate stage.
“When their son is walking down the street with a bag of M&Ms in his pocket, wearing a hoodie, his whiteness is what protects him from not being shot.”
The New York senator was addressing racial injustice issues when she made the remarks.
“I don’t believe that it’s the responsibility of Cory and Kamala to be the only voice that takes on these issues of institutional racism,” she said about Sens. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Kamala Harris (D-CA), both of whom are black.

Well that privilege would be having a husband who works hard enough that you can afford to stay home and watch idiots like Oprah and those Harpies on The View who tell you to vote for even bigger idiots . . . such as Kirsten Gillibrand.
“Whiteness.” I cannot read or hear that word without groaning.
It’s not that we are experiencing “privilege”. Rather, it is what should be normal in the human condition. Those that don’t experience it need to get out of their chit hole, which is not normal. What they call “privilege” is actually what every person should strive for, and those that achieve it for them self and their progeny should be commended for their success.
No being a black man wearing a hoodie trying to heist another black man for drugs or being in a gang is the thing that will most likely get you shot. It the very sad truth. Not getting shot is not a privilege. Where is the Facepalm guy?
My son’s white privilege comes from being in school all day, not driving a stolen vehicle, not in possession of a stolen firearm, not hanging out on a corner selling meth. Crazy kid.
She can start by explaining why it is that only white women seem to be able to join NXIVM, since it’s in the family.

And to say whites do not get shot or attacked by blacks is insane.
The real truth is whites left these areas out of fear of attack and harm because of blacks who are criminal thugs. Libs wont do anything to criminal thugs so thats where they are, destroying neighborhoods. Other blacks wont do anything and if,the cops do anything then blacks rush to hate on the cops.

I can explain white privilege. If you finish school, don’t commit crime, get a real job and work hard there, and don’t have children until you are in a stable marriage, your children are almost guaranteed a life of “privilege”.

No. It is not his “Whiteness” that keeps Junior from being shot. Cops and crooks have both proven more than willing to shoot or brutalize white folks.
It is the fact that Daddy moved them out of the urban cesspit into the suburbs where the crime is lower and cops less insanely scared of the herd.
And Mommy checks Junior’s homework and grades, makes sure he’s not associating with criminal scum and that he’s home before midnight, or, better yet, by 10PM.
Because Mr. and Mrs. White Suburbanite and their kids avoid the wrong places and the wrong people, Junior is far less likely to get shot.

A BLACK kid walking down the street with a bag of M&Ms, wearing a hoodie in a BLACK inner-city neighborhood is much more likely to be shot than a black kid walking down the street with a bag of M&Ms, wearing a hoodie in a white neighborhood.
If she's referring to Trevon Martin I guess she forgot about the part where Trevon attacked George Zimmerman.
Gillibrand is invoking her “white privilege” in taking race hustling away from Harris and Booker.
If the kid is wearing a hoodie, how can you tell if he’s black, white, Asian, or Latino?
