So while this article itself is old, the issue is not. In the Mass Legislature HB 388 is a real bill that would give illegal immigrants the right to vote in local elections.
Here are the Democrats listed as Co-Sponsors - there are probably more Democrats that support this bill but are not co-sponsors.

You’d think the citizens of Massachusetts would rise up and sue as their voting power was being watered down.

The “citizens of Massachusetts” and upcoming non-citizens are not exactly what one would term “discerning”.
Proof: Kennedys, Fauxahantis, etc.
This is so wrong. The only point being made by this is that the democrats failed to get their ideas across to real American Citizens and now need to import, lie, cheat and steal in order to remain relevant in this country.
How is this not unconstitutional? Liberal courts will strike down legitimately-passed congressional districts for “disenfranchising” this or that group, but they’ll allow an illegal alien to cancel out an actual citizen’s vote?
MA, just like NYS, is hemorrhaging taxpayers and House seats. Gotta get warm bodies somehow. And if you can’t get and/or keep makers, takers come on in!
MA can probably do it for state and lcoal elections for non-federal office holders. FWIW, I think this is about the census.

That’s right lets load up local boards and positions with people who are beholden to people who are not citizens.... what could possibly go wrong??

They must be very sure that these new voters will vote D consistently. Otherwise why bother?

This actually makes sense. After all, illegals are impacted by laws, so they should have a say in who makes those laws. And come to think of it, children are also impacted by those laws. Children should also have the right to vote.
And my state has a law that requires my cat to be vaccinated once every three years. My cat finds that law to be unnecessary and burdensome (and painful). Therefore, my cat should have the right to vote.
Since my cat is always asking for stuff, I’ll bet she’d register as a Democrat.
Is it not denying the right of suffrage to its own citizens?
and under federal, denying the people the right to a Republican form of Government?
