Hillary Clinton today called on mental health professionals to create a standardized curriculum to teach middle and high school students nationwide about anxiety and depression.
Mental health experts “need to come forward with a curriculum to the boards of education and the administration of school districts and just lobby like crazy to get those into teacher training, into school programming,” Clinton said.
She was a panelist at a discussion at the Paley Center for Media in Manhattan hosted by the Child Mind Institute, a city-based nonprofit focused on adolescent mental health issues.
In New York mental health education is already being put into action. In October 2016 Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a law, the first of its kind nationwide, requiring it be included in the health curriculum. It will take effect next school year.
The de Blasio administration has also taken steps to address mental health in schools. Two years ago New York City committed to a four-year, $850 million plan to improve mental health services and expand access to treatment. One of the program’s six principles is “act early,” with training provided to teachers to educate children in prekindergarten about coping skills when facing an emotional challenge. The city also said it would hire 100 mental health consultants to help connect students to services. During the 2016–2017 school year, the city opened 54 school-based clinics....

“Mental Health” - let’s see, that would be the truth of God, the Bible, the Constitution, and freedom. Sound thinking based on the truth and healthy, solid values.
Mental health is absent from government schools because they are being taught by the Delusional Lying Left who are ensconced in lies and deception, the opposite of “mental health.”
The Lying Left is more an more like the USSR - they themselves are mentally and emotionally deficient and they are purveyors of mental illness.
Again, Hillary and the perps of the Left disguise themselves as the solution, but we know they are wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Yeah the schools are doing such a bang-up job teaching reading, writing, and arithmetic.
There was a story last week that there are 13 high schools in Baltimore in which the number of students who are rated “proficient” at math is zero.
Teach Mental Health?
Is that like:
Don’t be crazy.

etc.
Again as I’ve stated seemingly forever this is priceless example of Democrat loser PROJECTION.
Hillary IS, and has been undergoing tremendous “anxiety, and depression” since she lost the race for POTUS she was guaranteed by her lot of “outpatients” known as “Marxist Globalists”, or “Socialist Democrats”.

I suffer from mental illness and the best way to create mentally ill people is to spend to much time pondering whether you have the symptoms of depression or anxiety. if you are healthy you just are not concerned about your happiness you just are. my guess is that Clinton is feeling the effects of being mentally ill so it has become important to her that it be explored by everyone. this is a symptom of her narcissism. for her if she was fat she would be concerned about diet in the same way that Michael Obama is.

I may have missed a few.
But I sincerely doubt that there are many public schools offering anything like this anymore.
