'What Happened' Perfectly Illustrates Why Clinton Lost—Just Not on Purpose
Vice ^ | September 15, 2017 | Jamie Peck

Posted on 09/17/2017 9:45:45 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

In trying to reckon with her loss, Hillary Clinton doubles down on the same hollow rhetoric and questionable politics that contributed to it.

"I'm coming around to the idea that what we need more than anything at this moment in America is what you might call 'radical empathy.'"
— Hillary Rodham Clinton, "What Happened"

I have empathy for Hillary Clinton. This is not because I agree with her politics, or because I like her at all, but because in an effort to be a kinder, more grown-up person, I try to have empathy for everyone. But because my empathy extends beyond Hillary Clinton—to marginalized people from Little Rock to Iraq—I strongly dislike her, too. (Don't worry, I'm not a sexist: I hate both Clintons equally.)

It was in this state of intense ambivalence that I embarked on the unenviable task of reading and digesting Clinton's 469-page tome What Happened over a 48-hour period. It was a much more emotional experience than I expected (though that may have had something to do with the fact that, due to poor planning, I got an I.U.D. placed at the beginning of this literary gauntlet). The treatment Clinton has endured in her public life is objectively infuriating: Throughout the book, and particularly in a chapter entitled "On Being a Woman In Politics," she examines the sexism she's faced over the course of her career and during the 2016 election, from the press's famously overblown reaction to her "tea and cookies" comment, to widespread scrutiny of her personal choices and appearance ("It hurts to be torn apart," she writes), to Trump's "nasty woman" bile.....

Psychopaths are incapable of empathy.

What Hildy-Beast really means is that everyone else to provide her with empathy for her plight at having lost bigtime.

She wants everyone else to do the work of crying for her sorry @$$.

No can do.

Hillary knows nothing about being a woman and even less about being a decent human being.

My favorite part in all this is listening to women tell me that America was not ready to have a Woman for president.

My instant response is to inform them “That’s a Bull Shiite Lie and you can blame yourself as well the rest of your kook lefty friends”.

“Hillary received 67 million votes, while Trump garnered 62 million.

Clearly there exists a majority of Americans who are comfortable with a woman as president.

However, the game is called Representive Government and she lost the Electoral College.

So stop throwing the vagina card around because it gets real fishy after a while...

Gov. Sarah Palin

I want to hear more about that, Hillary.

The moment Trump said “Such a nasty woman” in the debate was the moment he won the Presidency.

Millions upon millions of Americans had waited years and years for someone to verbalize that to Hillary’s face.

My ad blocker took care of that. It was to no avail against the leftist drivel that comprises most of the site.

Ironically, Hilary’s book, “What Happened”, demonstrates exactly why Hillary lost the election, just not the way Hillary intended.

For any of the members of her inner circle to allow her to publish such a train wreck of a book shows that they are as insular and totally out of touch with reality as Hillary is and to the extent that are in touch with reality, they are afraid to tell Hillary the truth she desperately needs to hear.

I’ll go ahead and say I am perfectly fine with never seeing a female president for the rest of my life.

I am thoroughly unimpressed with American female kind.

If she represents the best and brightest of them, then it’s a pitiful lot.

I have not seen or am aware of any American female who is fit to be a president, and I’d also be perfectly okay with them not holding any office of power at this point. Not impressed.

Now I also have to be fair and say I pretty much feel the exact same way about American males too. There is almost no one who has the leadership skills and abilities necessary to lead this country at this time, and I’d just as soon none of these ones hold any office of power either.

We don’t seem to be producing what is necessary to continue on in a positive direction IMO.

If Trump wasn’t going to be reelected (and I think he was going to be) her book made sure of it. Are there no people in the Democratic Party with the strength and presence of mind to stop her?

He is really one of the most perfect examples of America not producing what is needed to succeed.

There a number of them within the Trump admin too, people whom you may expect to be high caliber, such as Tillerson and the various generals. Not impressed. Not even a little bit.

Ms Peck is still trying to put lipstick on a pig. Being a woman had nothing to do with her loss. Being the most corrupt and entitled woman in America did. Her obvious hatred for and slander of good hard working Americans didn’t help either.

However, the game is called Representative Government and she lost the Electoral College.

Ditto. Republicans had a majority of state houses and governorships before the election. That suggested she was going to be in a tight race from the beginning. Her only hope was really to try to make the election a popularity contest between her and the republican candidate. She wasn't even that popular in her own party and had to rig the primaries.

The inner circle are only yes men, hangers-on, and sycophants. If there was someone strong enough to argue a different view of reality with Hillary, that person would be escorted out by the Secret Service.

Speaking of the Secret Service, can you imagine being with a woman day after day who sees a different reality from the rest? Hopefully, she just ignores them and doesn’t insist they share the same reality with her. My experience with crazy people is you MUST reinforce their aberrant view or they go nuclear on you until you do.
