A top Oregon Republican said Monday he’s considering using militia groups for security purposes after a man directing anti-Muslim rhetoric at two women fatally stabbed two men and injured a third this weekend.
Multnomah County Republican Party Chairman James Buchal told The Guardian that recent protests have prompted members of the Portland GOP to consider security alternatives.
“I am sort of evolving to the point where I think that it is appropriate for Republicans to continue to go out there,” he told The Guardian. “And if they need to have a security force protecting them, that’s an appropriate thing too.”
He said that might mean making arrangments that don’t rely on police....

Yep. It’s coming, sooner than anyone thinks. By the end of the year. We’ve seen elected officials being violent towards each other. It’s left vs right.
I remember that we were discussing this here on FR back around 2009, or so. There were many naysayers (and probably still are), but, many of us saw this coming.
Possible that it never gets that far (we can pray), but it is down to a week-by-week guess anymore :p
We had militia at our last Trump rally in a Portland suburb. The anarchists want a fight and nearly got one. The cops were with the anarchists.

Between this and the Portland Mayor’s statement about revoking protest permits for non leftists, the cold civil war is heating up.
Honestly, I didn’t expect it to happen in Portland.
The issue isn’t “if” but “when”.
It may be peaceful, but neither side can view the other’s ideals and beliefs with anything approaching respect. Both view each others ideals as a cancer to be destroyed.

That is interesting...I've watched dozens of videos from rallies over the past few months in and around Portland and in every one the police were arresting the commies and not the patriots.
Yep. Fighting in the TX statehouse this week also. We were at our friends house for a Sunday cookout. CW2 came up. All of us agreed CW is on the way.
How many have you been at? The one I went to they stood by and let the anarchists run wild.
