Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Democrats meddled with former Sen. Joe Lieberman's chances of becoming FBI Director in the wake of President Donald Trump's firing of James Comey.
McCain said that the Democrats' opposition to Lieberman stopped him from being selected for the post after the Trump Administration signaled that he was on the shortlist.
"My Democratic colleagues clearly did [kill Lieberman's chances]," McCain told reporters Wednesday, according to CNN. "This is their nominee for vice president of the United States. If anything would make you cynical about this town, that's it."
Lieberman was indeed the Democratic vice presidential nominee alongside Al Gore in 2000, but later became an independent in 2006 and eventually endorsed McCain, a close friend, in 2008 — which upset Democrats.....

As what’s his name’s book explained, committee memberships, leaderships, and most of all, House and Senate leadership’s aren’t based on merit; they’re based on the wannabe’s ability to raise money for the party, especially from lobbyist’s clientele.
Which is why turds like McCain, Ryan, et al, got their positions. Remember when Hillary was a freshman senator? She was miraculously put on FIVE committees, and NINE subcommittees, most of which were given her her FRESHMAN year! There are 88 Senate committees and subcommittees, and only 100 senators, so just about everyone gets an assignment, A few are on 3 committees and subcommittees, but most are not. But then, Hillary’s special, and she was being groomed for president.
Obama is devious, evil, and anti-American. But, McCain, while patriotic is not (IMHO) completely sane, given to fits of temper, and overly militaristic. He wouldn't have made such a mess of things domestically, but probably would have gotten us into even more wars, perhaps of more than brushfire size.
It was Trumps choice to use his own personal lawyer. Joe is a partner in his firm.
Sometimes, its as simple as that.
