I do not recall an outgoing, term limited, President campaigning as much as Obama in 2016. He did, in the sense of his legacy, run for reelection. He lost, bigly.

No. Those were people making projections. These are people doing analyses of how the election actually went. If the black vote that turned out for Obama had turned out for Hillary, she would have won - that's just a fact. If Obama had been able to run for a third term, they probably would have turned out.
Gloating and being complacent is for people who want to be surprised and lose. It's what the Democrats were doing a couple of months ago. There's work to be done if conservatism is going to win in the years to come.

I cheer him on, the more the better...Hillary was his 3rd term, or that’s what the MSM promoted...so..keep it up...pour it on...keep reminding the country..that the progressive’s are marxist/socialist’s , the 2018 will finish them as an Army Trump’s (common folk) come to Washington to insure the end ....of socialism

Well,he was either confident in his own wisdom or confident in the wisdom of the voting public.In this case,I think the public would have won. The votes he would have gained would be from those who have failed to see what a colossal failure he & his administration has been.
