Hillary Clinton's White House hopes were last night ebbing away as her lead over Donald Trump was cut to just two points in the latest poll – taken before the new FBI probe into the Democrat candidate.

The investigation looks certain to further damage her bid to become America's first woman president.

The latest blow for her campaign comes barely a week after she had enjoyed a double-digit lead over her Republican rival.

Now Friday's decision by FBI Director James Comey to release details of new emails connected to Mrs Clinton threatens to derail her campaign at the 11th hour.

With the election just nine days away, it emerged that US Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, had advised Comey not to disclose details of the fresh investigation.

Ms Lynch, who is Comey's boss, told the FBI chief to follow Justice Department protocol and 'not take any actions that could influence the outcome of a presidential election'.

But Comey ignored her advice and wrote a letter to Congress revealing 'pertinent' new emails had been uncovered on the laptop of Clinton's adviser Huma Abedin and that he was reopening his investigation into whether Clinton illegally handled classified information during her time as Secretary of State...

Don’t be surprised if her numbers improve after the email story. They have been cooking these polls for months. The polls will show no impact from the investigation, so the press will stop talking about it. New Trump “scandal” by Thursday.

Assuming God still cares about preserving this great Republic, let’s just accept that He works in mysterious ways, and in ways and with tools of His choosing.

We do not know how or why things are as they are, but there is plenty of reason to believe that this evil woman will be denied a chance to wreak further havoc and misery.

Trump is right. According to the law, if anyone has destroyed government property they are barred from holding any office. So why did the Republican Party not take the Democrat Party to court when they nominated her to run? We could have saved everyone a lot of trouble had she not been allowed to run.

What is in the emails must be much worse than the prior emails they recovered. Otherwise Comey would have done nothing.

I think some real bad JUJU is coming Clinton’s way. I am also amazed that Huma did not destroy that laptop. I suspect Hillary will be a physical mental mess the next 10 days.
