Clinton and Toomey lead their respective races.

That’s the conclusion of the latest Susquehanna University Poll, which was conducted on behalf of ABC27.

In the presidential contest, Hillary Clinton is ahead of Donald Trump by a 44% to 40% margin. Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson got 4% while Green Party nominee Jill Stein received 2%.

As for the Senate race, Pat Toomey leads Katie McGinty 42% to 38%.

Finally, Susquehanna tested the favorable/unfavorable splits for Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and Barack Obama. Clinton got a 39/54 split whereas Trump faces a 36/56 divide. President Barack Obama received a split of 46/44.

This survey was conducted by Susquehanna University Polling and Research and commissioned by ABC27. It was done through IVR/automated calls to landlines and live agent interviews from October 4th to 9th and reached 764 likely voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.5%.

Toomey only up 4%? I sense a DEM skewed poll.

1 All these polls are bogus. There is no way the American people are going to willingly vote for her when she openly says she is going to raise their taxes and open the border gates wide and let in all the muslims.

I really think it’s not so much about polls now, but about just how much fraud there will be, and how We the People will react to having the election stolen from them.

We’re at the point now where no matter which side wins, there will be strong “reaction” from the other side. If our side wins, they will Scorch Earth.

Johnson support is peeling off. A little more time for repair and TRUMP could kick her butt.

TURN OUT makes it.

I'm not convinced that 51% of voters have a college or Graduate level degree, only 1/4 of these folks stopped after high school. This reference site suggests the average is much lower: Cities with the Highest Percentage of College Graduates in Pennsylvania

Does this seem like a reasonable educational distribution? (from poll internals)

What is your highest level of education?
1. High school diploma 214 28%
2. Associate’s degree from a trade or vocational school 145 19%
3. 4-year degree from a college or university 215 28%
4. Master’s or doctorate degree 176 23%

Oh, wow. If Trump were to win after all, the response would be mutually assured destruction.

GOP would “cooperate” with Clinton.

All these polls are bogus.

I can't see how they are worth paying attention to at this point. We know we have a Uniparty cabal and a compliant, state-run media. I am sure polling is compromised too.

Certainly not 23% with advanced degrees. No way, now how.

There are many within the GOP who will help Trump. Just quietly. Even some Dems.

They must have only polled at Penn State and the State Pen - or are those the same place?

I actually believe they stole it for Obama in 2012. Yes there are lots of ignorant people, but there was also a lot of voter fraud and less illegals, etc.

If there really are that many stupid people out there, then I say in disgust that they deserve their tyranny. (but WE don’t!)

All these polls are bogus

I'm probably all wet but it's likely Trump voters are now less inclined to admit it to the pollsters. They'll still vote for him but don't want to face the righteous condemnation of Social Justice Warriors.

This poll is very suspect because of the oversampling of college & graduate educated voters, which is a key Hillary voter demographic, double the representation of this group in the population.

A bit more digging uncovered the following at https://pasdc.hbg.psu.edu/sdc/pasdc_files/researchbriefs/Education-Earnings_RB.pdf

In 2000, 22.4 percent of Pennsylvanians age 25 years and over had a bachelor’s degree or higher. That figure rose to 27.0 percent of state’s population in 2011. At the same time, fewer residents lacked a high-school diploma: 18.1 percent had no diploma in 2000, which dropped to 11.4 percent in 2011.

Nationally, 28.5 percent of the population attained a bachelor’s degree or higher, while 14.1 percent lacked a high school diploma. Among the states and the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania ranked 25th in terms of the percentage of the population to have a bachelor’s degree or higher in 2011.
