Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump essentially had his legion of Pennsylvania supporters at "I'm building a wall."
An anti-immigration stance is a powerful thing in a state that's been inundated with new residents from across the border. The composition of Pennsylvania's population has been shifting, with foreign-born residents now making up double the percentage of Keystone State citizens in 2015 than they did 25 years prior. (Immigrants still only make up 6.4 percent of the population.)
For some Pennsylvanians, the changes have been hard to bear. They complain of streets that aren't as safe as they used to be, and jobs that are harder to come by. They blame a perceived influx of immigrants, particularly Hispanics, for their woes.
Pennsylvania's jobless rate was 5.6 percent in June, with only 13 other states being worse off in terms of unemployment. So with a sagging economy and a rising crime rate, they look for reasons why they've been left behind....

He appeals to working people in Pennsylvania. It’s the non-working and not-interested-in-working voters in Philadelphia that are the problem.
“...They blame a perceived influx of immigrants, particularly Hispanics, for their woes...”
It’s not perception. It’s reality.
For decades both parties have been offering us amnesty candidate R or amnesty candiate D.
Neither party wanted to offer any enforcement.
The citizens have waited a long time for someone to be on the side of the rule of law.
This election will decide if Americans get to keep their country.
From his lips to God’s ears. I would LOVE to see the Keystone go for Trump. What a thrill that would be.
Pennsylvania hasn’t gone for e GOP president since Reagan. Here is hoping Trump makes some history taking Pennsylvania. I would love it.

I would love for Trump to make heads explode by holding a rally right IN Phili and speak honestly and boldly to the blacks that he wants them to have school choice AND lift up out of the quagmire with jobs and mobility and protection under the rule of law.
Unemployment is a slippery concept. You can be employed working 20 hours a week, and you can be unemployed when you reach mandatory retirement age - and actually are retired. If you stop looking because there are no jobs which pay and have conditions to which you are accustomed, you dont end up employed until and unless you lower your expectations. If you stay unemployed long enough, you are dropped from the rolls of the unemployed because you arent trying. But what controls that? Your expectations and your ability to get by without being employed - which all retirees do.
So the bottom line is that a good economy increases employment - and a bad economy does not. Always taking allowances for the size of the population in working age cohorts. Even if employment rises, the economy may be poor if - as in the present instance - immigrants are taking as many jobs as are being created, and native-born Americans are losing out.
A really good economy is when employment is rising among existing Americans, and immigrants are attracted to jobs over and above what existing Americans need and want.
