Ted Cruz wants police empowered to 'patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods' after Brussels attacks
Business Insider ^ | March 22, 2016 | Allan Smith

Ted Cruz,

"Today radical Islamic terrorists targeted the men and women of Brussels as they went to work on a spring morning. In a series of co-ordinated attacks they murdered and maimed dozens of innocent commuters at subway stations and travelers at the airport.

For the terrorists, the identities of the victims were irrelevant. They – we — are all part of an intolerable culture that they have vowed to destroy.

For years, the west has tried to deny this enemy exists out of a combination of political correctness and fear. We can no longer afford either.

Our European allies are now seeing what comes of a toxic mix of migrants who have been infiltrated by terrorists and isolated, radical Muslim neighborhoods.

We will do what we can to help them fight this scourge, and redouble our efforts to make sure it does not happen here.

We need to immediately halt the flow of refugees from countries with a significant al Qaida or ISIS presence.

We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized.

We need to secure the southern border to prevent terrorist infiltration.

And we need to execute a coherent campaign to utterly destroy ISIS.

The days of the United States voluntarily surrendering to the enemy to show how progressive and enlightened we can be are at an end. Our country is at stake."

With tanks, maybe, Ted

Haven't you heard ... there are some neighborhoods NO ONE goes into

By contrast, Hillary stated that part of her plan involves inviting an extra 65,000 Syrian refugees to come live in the United States.

"We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized."

Yeah, that's really going to work.
Look how well the cops controlled Baltimore and Ferguson.

Cruz's entire statement is spot on.

Shouldn't the police already be empowered to patrol all neighborhoods? That's their job, isn't it?

Sounds like a job for our Dear Leader to go into first. He speaks the language and is one of them so he could go in and collect all the guns and bombs personally.

Not enough. Round them up and give them the option to renounce or leave. That sadistic cult of murder and conquest has no legitimate place anywhere in the western world. It is not a legitimate religion. Drive the fanatics off to the hellholes their toxic system has created.

“We need to empower law enforcement to patrol...”

Who’s “we” Ted? Which state and local police need your OK to do their job?

Didn’t forget about that 10th Amendment did you, Mr. Constitutional lawyer?

Can’t wait to have the Cruz stormtroopers loose on my street. Who knows what radicalism lurks behind my neighbor’s curtains!

You are aware that Trump’s position is to round up every single muslim, regardless of if they are American citizens or not and deport them? At least that’s according to several Freepers anyway...

We had a lot of immigration from Europe in the decade or so following World War II. Most of them had legitimate reasons, Jews who had survived the holocaust and had nowhere else to go, civilians who needed a fresh start, allied soldiers whose former homes were now behind the iron curtain and had no desire to return. There were also former Nazi officials and death camp guards with less then honorable intentions.

Not all of them got to come to America initially. We only took what we felt we could properly absorb and integrate in an orderly manner. One survivor whom I know had to spend 8 years in Brazil before their family's turn came to come here. She didn't like it at the time, but appreciated the experience of a country carefully vetting its immigrants.

And there was zero tolerance for liars and deception artists. They knew that, in most cases, we would hunt them down and boot their sorry @$$es out of our country, even if they managed to elude detection for 10, 20 or 30 years or more. That's the reason why many of them didn't even bother coming here. Argentina or Paraguay or some place like that was the best they were going to get.

I do not know what would be so extreme about enforcing a similar system today. These Muslim bombers and moochers posing as refugees are a far greater threat than any Nazi camp guard ever was.

The Nazi camp guards may have been low life scum bags, but I am not aware of a single case of one setting off explosives, gunning down their host's citizens in any random manner or even intentionally becoming parasitic wards of the state.

The biggest scumbag of them all, Adolph Eichmann, was content to spend 15 years working on an auto assembly line in relative obscurity before he was eventually discovered and extradited to Israel to meet his just trial and date with the hangman.

The attackers in San Bernardino did not live in a Muslim neighborhood.

Thanks for the sensible post.

Ted Cruz was responding to nonsensical Obama/Hilary policies when he said:

“The days of the United States voluntarily surrendering to the enemy to show how progressive and enlightened we can be are at an end.”

I hope he is right. It all depends on who is elected in November.

His Handlers the Establishment Employee correct Ted Cruz

On CNN

Bush said Cruz is not racially profiling and told CNN they should get the candidate on to clarify his remarks. However, Bush said he would "presume [Cruz] is also talking about extremists in the Christian faith."

When the bombings start happening in Muslim neighborhoods, then this proposal of the Canadian Cruz Liner just might have some sort of relevance to the problem.

If you’re looking for Muslim terrorists then looking where they live seems pretty obvious to me.
