Rule 40 will be hard for Cruz to meet.
Trump already has.

Little Marco didn’t keep Ted from losing SC, FL, GA, NH, AL, etc. In some of those contests, Ted came in 3rd. If your path to victory includes winning the south, and you don’t, not much of a path you can take. The true reason why Ted didn’t win is because Trump is beating him. Badly too.

I don’t think Trump supporters should rely on Rule 40 - that got changed before the last convention, and it will probably get changed again before this convention.

“Why does Ted only win if someone else is drops out? Can he not win on his own merit?”

You have yet to answer why Trump needs to have someone drop out in order to achieve over 50% of voters.

No answer? Typical.

Trump is going to get 1300 plus delegates....UNLESS he doesn’t want to.....unless he cuts a deal to make the Convention Brokered....just because he would like to turn it into the Greatest Show on Earth. Man what a show that would be. Everybody makes money on it, Trump would be on the TV...25/8 ...YEP THEY’D ADD MORE HOURS TO THE DAY AND DAYS TO THE WEEKS TO GET MORE COVERAGE.

What you just don’t get is the definition of winning. Some people get more votes than others and get 100% of the votes.

That is a win.

If votes are proportional, EVERYONE wins some votes.

Got it now?

After reading this, my head is spinning. Let me see If I get it. If it snows in Santa Fe on the 16th and 3 delegates from Arizona call 2 delegates from Nevada, and Walmart stops carrying daisy red riders and the band Journey tours with Night Ranger every other 2nd Tuesdays in towns that end in “ville”, then cruz can win. Far-fetched? Absolutely. But not as far-fetched as what you posted.

Cruz has already won nine states or territories (Rule 40 calls for eight). Would you like me to list them?

Maybe in a running race...with Ted given a head start...with Trump’s ankles shackled...maybe.

I had this dream the other night. In the dream, Trump won the entire Southeast, winning every state except Texas. In the dream I’m puzzled and I’m thinking, “This can’t be, Cruz said he would take the Southeast easily.” Then the dream continued and out of nowhere Cruz won everything in the Northeast! I awakened about this time, rubbed my eyes, and realized immediately that, of course, this was all just a dream (well, except about the part where Trump won the entire Southeast).

One from Elko and one from Clark. Unless it is on a Saturday, then they both must be from White Pine. On Sundays, they can’t talk unless they are in adjacent casinos on the strip.

that still does not address the fundamental problem of less than half of GOP voters vote other than Trump. So why can’t Trump just win on his own and need someone to drop out?

Ted has fundamental problems of his own... He lost big time yesterday...

I believe it's eight states with a majority of the delegates.Ted has not done that, and may, in fact, not do that.

“well, except about the part where Trump won the entire Southeast”

No he did not. He got more delegates than the others, but others also ‘won’ delegates.

Do you know the difference in winning and not winning?

Trump doesn’t need to have anyone drop. He’s schlonging Ted, just fine. Even Kasich got more delegates than Ted last night....better put some ice on that.
