CHARITON, Iowa — Around 10 p.m. Saturday, with locals here stuffing the entryway of a general store known for something called taco pizza, the presidential campaign of Senator Ted Cruz seemed to be winning a bet with itself.
Could the candidate fill the space on a frosty night, in a town of 4,000 or so, more than two months before voting begins, at an hour late enough that taco pizza was no longer being served?
“I’m pretty sure this is breaking a Guinness World Record,†Mr. Cruz said, settling in beside the doughnut display as scores of Iowans surrounded him. A burly man with a thick beard, a shaved head and a large soda offered to be Mr. Cruz’s “personal bouncer.â€
“It’s a very bad idea in politics,†Mr. Cruz began, diplomatically, “to ask voters to leave.â€(continued)

This is about as real as Carson or Fiorina gaining in the polls. Not real. Especially when you look nationally and he’s down in the 3-7% range.
Little towns are very important in flyover country.
Trump or Cruz-— or both— when they are doing well, I am feeling good...
I disagree— Cruz is not a phony like Carson and Fiorina— neither of which had any qualifications to become president...

Trump trashed the New York Times yesterday big time. This is their response today and it looks like they stayed up late to do it.

You know full well that most Trump supporters will also support Cruz - and vice versa. Your attempts to divide the two groups is doomed to failure.

The 6 and the 4? Taken before November. If you look at the 5 polls taken entirely in November (14, 8, 14, 9, 11), you have a 8 to 14 range and an 11.2% average.
So where are you pulling that 3-7% range nonsense from?
