So true. The Carson supporters are falling off that wagon. Trump is the one likely to gain the most.
Carson is a good man. He just has no chance against hillary.
I have worked in American industry for 25 years and a US government funded research outfit for 15 years. I have seen the problems first hand. I understand why 94 million American citizens are not working. I know why the middle class is more stressed now than ever since the great depression.
And the reasons are.... American businesses moving manufacturing to cheap labor countries. Those are middle class jobs. That would be OK, if those foreign countries were doing fair and balanced trade with us. And the other very big problem is American businesses want to import cheaper workers from abroad, LEGALLY, with H1-B visa’s, and expansion of LEGAL immigrant numbers, to further reduce labor costs and increase profits.
Nothing illegal or unconstitutional to increase profits, but not on the bodies of American citizens.
Your man Cruz is pushing for both above agenda because he has no choice. He can not survive in the race without his rich donors. I am sure he does not want to harm American citizens, but that is exactly what is happening with him pushing for the cheap labor express. Here it is in his own words..

If businesses want to export manufacturing to Pacific countries or Mexico, that is OK. But then they can not be allowed to dump those foreign made products in our country without any penalty. If we have balanced trade with Mexico, there is no problem. But we don’t. Only Trump understands this problem, and can actually do something because he has no rich donors ordering him what to do.
Carson never stood a chance, politics is blood sport and while clearly intelligent and driven as any surgeon must be, he’s not remotely ready for prime time.
He got a moment in the sun as the non Trump non insider but that was about it.
The real people who need to be stopped are the Rubios and Jebs of this world and as much as I Like Cruz on many things his support of H1B expansion shows the same puppet masters have their hooks into him as well.
To this point Carson has handled this quite well. Trump siding with the left wing press could really hurt him.
There is no guarantee that one man, or woman, the president, can unilaterally stop anything. But since all candidates except trump are pushing the cheap labor express, going with them will certainly exacerbate the problem. With Trump there is at least hope. With others, further degradation of middle class, who does the real work in the economy, is metaphysical certainty.
Only time will tell! And first primary is less than 100 days away!
The reason Carson declined the offer was that it was in fact not a full ride scholarship, but was more in the nature of a hard to break employment contract — you get a free college education plus a stipend in return for committing to five years on active duty as an Army officer. That conflicted with Carson's goal of becoming a doctor. He needed to be in med school after college, not on active duty. Hence, he declined the offer in favor of Yale, and the paperwork never got initiated.
Small rodent minds quibble over the meaning of "scholarship", "offer", etc., in order to back up unjustified headlines, which they hope will influence the low-information pukes.
True (at least for West Point).
Wow, poor ol’ Bush, he’s been demoted into Kasich territory.

IT STATES:
ADMISSIONS DECISIONS
West Point has a rolling admissions policy. Outstanding, qualified, nominated candidates will be offered admission as their records become complete. All admissions files must be complete, to include nominations, by the last workday in February.
Financial and Service Obligation
As a cadet, you are a member of the U.S. Army and receive a full scholarship and an annual salary of more than $10,000 from which you pay for your uniforms, textbooks, a laptop computer, and incidentals. There is no tuition charge, but there is a requirement for an initial deposit. Room, board, and medical and dental care are provided by the United States Government.
I am still in awe that the media and certain groups made him a competitive candidate. It really hasn’t been much because of anything he has said or done. I hope he starts to fade away from the scene. I just don’t believe he would be a good president and he hasn’t given me enough reasons to believe he would be.

Thank you for that post. I will use your info in other threads, if it is Ok with you.
$5. I take Visa or Mastercard - NO AMERICAN EXPRESS!
I only have American Express! I get refused in many cheap restaurants with AmExp. But very few good restaurants and hotel refuse. Their fees must be higher.
There is a pretty simple calculus that applies to the Presidency that Carson does not pass (many actually, but this one is the most basic). To become President you must want it, truly want it with every fiber of your being.
Carson doesn’t pass this basic test. He won’t be the President and if he by some craziness is the nominee he will be pasted in a way that will make McGovern and Dukakis look like they had good showings.
