If you are referring to this particular thread, it has less to do with the Carson West point story, and more to do with the Fox polls indicating who will benefit IF Carson drops out. As I said in my post #1, this story is unlikely to force Carson to drop out.

He was an extremely gifted kid, who was the top ROTC candidate in Detroit that year.
From his perspective an offer to get him an appointment would have sounded like a scholarship to any kid from the projects.
In essence, an appointment is a full ride scholarship...but it is different because it requires a senatorial/congressional backing. But he never went that far...at all.
He was going on what people were telling him as a teenager...but he mad it clear then, and it is clear now that he had no interest. His own record of what he did speaks for itself.
They will do anything to bring him down...just like they did Herman Cain.
It is not about what you think or I think about Trump, the thread is about a national poll by FOX to determine who could benefit most if Carson departs the race.
I think Ben is a good guy but he doesn’t have what it takes to run the gauntlet. He is not destined to be president and he’s a total sucker for the media traps!
He thinks he can be smart, kind and reasonable and the media will agree with him or give him a fair shot and agree to disagree. But sadly, the leftist media doesn’t work like that. They have one mission, total destruction of non-left wing people.

They are looking...but they are also split.
He brings them the biggest ratings ever and they want that...so they are apt to hold whatever they may find back IMHO.
