Dr Ben Carson goes left on these issues:

Dr Ben Carson is a fine mine, with integrity. However Carson goes left on these issues:

Allow semi-autos only in remote rural areas.
Says that conservatives that won’t talk about gun control have an “infantile attitude.”
For “socio-economic Affirmative Action.”
Supports raising the minimum wage.
Want “stiff tariffs” to limit trade.
Deportation of any illegals is “moral low ground.” A pathway to citizenship is “the only humane and reasonable thing to do.”
Wants a c r a z y 30% Ethanol Standard. Implies climate change is one justification for that 30% ethanol standard.

What’s a “fine mine?”

Wants a c r a z y 30% Ethanol Standard.

Explains his support in IOWA.

To many of them, the rest of the nation can be thrown down the river as long as they get their corn subsidies. That’s why I hate IOWA being first in every election cycle. It’s about CORN and their PORK.

Many of those things were said years ago, so you are purposefully taking him out of context.

You are free to refute the statements, with appropriate link. I know that poster’s history. He is reliable.

Even if the semi-autos were only allowed to be in the rural areas, they would still wind up in the urban ones, as they do now.

Next silliness.

No more affirmative action.

No illegals period.

Minimum wage is not supposed to be a living wage, and McDonalds is not supposed to be a career, except for management.

Calling conservatives names on gun issues does not help. Common sense gun legislation should be the goal of everyone regardless of political ideology.

Good summary. Carson got to where he is (or more likely, was) because of two reasons:

1) He could deliver a joke (at the first debate).
2) We wanted bragging rights to having the much better black than the Democrats have in Obama.

Now that he’s climbed in the polls, he’s looking a lot more like Rick Perry or Scott Walker, than Trump or Cruz, and his numbers will quickly follow those of Perry/Walker.

Sorry Dr. Carson, you’re a brilliant man, but getting up to speed to run for Prez is simply something that no human can do when they’re rewiring brains. It’s just too much.

And what’s he going to do when that high of an ethanol voncentration is shown to damage engines or not provide enough power? I can tell the difference on performance between just 10 % ethanol and regular.

He has also apologized for his remarks on gays are not born that way. He’s too timid and mild to be at the helm of the U.S. We don’t need someone who backs down - we have enough of them in our government as it is.

So were Donald Trump’s so called “liberal” stances on issues, from many years back. Did you bother to refute those?

If Dr. Carson has evolved, I can accept it. Only hard headed, un-thinking people never evolve.

I like Carson personally but I trust him to understand, especially, economic issues. Doctors tend to be notoriously off-track when it comes to economic issues and tend to think government is the answer.

Minimum wage, which acts as a tax, is probably the single most disastrous element in our economy, driving up costs and prices, killing jobs and opportunity, and sending business and advantage elsewhere to places like China, Japan, and Mexico.

Contrary to Trump’s assertions, China and Mexico are not the economic culprits - the mostly unconstitutional $4 trillion federal government is our great economic culprit and thief.

So how's Carson's golf game?

Is he in good physical shape? These things mattered to you when you reported them about Trump.

Both Carson and Donald Trump believe gay marriage "is the law of the land".

It's a liberal thing.

Left or brilliance? As of now in most machine Democrat urban areas, no guns are legal... as a result they have become “free-fire” zones for the crooks and death traps for the folks. OK no semis, but other guns become legal... tis a move in the right direction... IMHO.

Dr Ben Carson is a fine mine

I almost invested in a fine mine.. an abandoned silver mine in Colorado.

It was a total bust and I'm glad I passed it by.

“Totally not,” Carson said Monday. “What I was trying to get across is that the place where dangerous weapons are most likely to fall into the hands of crazies are crowded places. They are not likely to happen in some remote place. But in no way do I think we should restrict the rights, particularly the rights of law abiding citizens to have guns.” - Semi-autos Carson is for them.

You have to get with the times.
