I wish the Senate was composed of senior statesmen, two from each State, acting as ambassadors to the government at Washington. I wish that they were appointed by the State Legislatures. I wish that they had iron rules of decorum, preserved over 200 years of history and tradition, and enforced by mutual consent.

But it isn't, and they don't.

So, calling out that low-down, sneaking, polecat liar McConnell is OK by me.
