Sioux City, IA (ABC9 News) - In what can only be described as a crowded field, presidential candidates are beginning to visit Sioux City in an effort to build momentum.
While he hasn't thrown his hat in the ring, Jim Webb will be speaking to a group at the Sioux City Boys Club on Wednesday. The former Democratic senator from Virginia is touring the facility at 4 p.m. before hosting a "meet and greet" at Tacos el Guero at 5:30 p.m.
On Thursday, May 7th, Gov. Mike Huckabee will be hosting meet and greet at Charlies American Grill, 701 Gordon Drive, at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning. This comes just days after announcing he is again seeking the GOP nomination for president.
Sen. Ted Cruz, along with Rep. Steve King, is speaking at an event being sponsored by the Woodbury County Republican Party on May 11th. The event is being held at the home of Dr. Pat Luse, 4602 DeRocher Path in Sioux City, and begins at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited and a $50 donation per person must be made. That can be sent to the Woodbury County Republican Party, PO Box 3852, Sioux City, IA 51102.
Business mogul and potential 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump is speaking at an event at the Morningside College campus on May 16th. Trump, who has yet to declare his candidacy, will appear at the Yockey Room at 10 a.m.
Finally, Dr. Ben Carson will be in town on Sunday, May 17th at 6 p.m. The event is being held at Dr. Jerry McGowans home, 2605 w. Solway St. In Sioux City. This event is also sponsored by the Woodbury County Republican Party and a $25 donation is required. For more information, call 712-255-6992.
It's very telling that the socialist 'RAT heads to a messkin joint. I guess All-American food is despised by those in hussein's political party.
Hope someone told that moron to check his hog-leg at the door. No tellin’ what Webb might do.
“It’s very telling that the socialist ‘RAT heads to a messkin joint.”
There is no Mexican food in Iowa.
They simply have no real clue about South Western cuisine.
Thus it is entirely appropriate for democrats to meet there. Even the type of restaurant is a lie
Even worse, the term "Guero" can be taken as an anti-white racist slur. No wonder the commie 'RATs congregate at joints like that.
