The scariest scenario for me is Hillary winning in 2016

It's a shame to go through life fearful. You worry too much about the BS conventional wisdom 'independents'.

I will NOT vote out of fear of Hillary. I'm perfectly willing to NOT vote for a liberal, whether it be Hillary or a liberal GOP candidate.

Fear is a meme being pushed by liberals right now, and I intend to get in some liberal faces.

Fear is for fools that don't pray. Or work hard.

If I listed how my income has dropped, and my expenses dropped under 6 years of Obama, you might understand my consternation about a Hillary regime. It affects not only me personally, but also my family’s lifestyle.

There is no way in hell I will help Hillary/Warren/whoever by abstaining my vote. I pray and hope the GOP nominee will be one of Walker, Kasich, Jindal, Cruz or Perry.

If the GOP nominates another liberal, I won't vote in that race. Period. Full stop.

I know about losing income, but I'll never vote out of fear. Cowardice is NO way for me to go through life.

Understand that there will be those that don't tolerate fear on the part of so-called conservatives.

And real conservatives can get downright angry about so-called 'conservatives' trying to get real conservatives to vote for liberals this early in the race.

Wow, looking at the responses some people are ready to through Marco overboard.

Let’s look at this rationally for just a moment:

(1) Yes, Marco hurt himself immensely with the immigration debate and cuddling up to McCain/Grahamnesty. But that being said, as a VP in a potential Cruz administration, CIR as that Gang of 8 wanted to pass isn’t seeing the life of day and the whole issue will get shelved. The bigger focus will be on the areas of border security, fiscal policy, and ensuring lunatic Islamo-fascist regimes don’t get nukes, all areas I believe Cruz and Rubio do agree on.

(2) Ted Cruz is smart. He does things and is one step ahead of others. The conventional wisdom is to “balance” the ticket. Even Reagan did that in 1976 and 1980. I’m sure Reagan assumed the next “cream” would rise to the top, but sadly all there was was GHWB. And then more Bushes and RINOs. Picking another conservative would avoid that mistake.

(3) Cruz/Rubio would be like the GOP Equivalent of Clinton/Gore without the ethics/scandals/stupidity. Both are young, charismatic, and would represent a strong change from the current administration (this time in a good way).

(4) Yes, they are both Cuban, but it’s not just that background. Everyone knows Cruz is one of the most brilliant, articulate, smart men in the Senate, and Rubio’s pretty decent too when he’s on the issues we agree with. Their background complements the “Presentation” of the ideals in the General Election, but being Hispanic/Latino isn’t the centerpiece. It all comes together though.

(5) Cruz/Rubio would be an Electoral College nightmare for the Democrats. If Cruz runs the campaign we all believe he is capable of and presenting those ideas and Rubio supporting the ticket, they could win an Electoral College landslide. Every single battleground state would be in play and some “safe” blue states would see their victory % fall. I’d even give that ticket a chance to finally carry PA.

So to answer your question. Yes. Cruz/Rubio would be an incredible ticket. The conservative message and personal background in conjunction with the battleground states in play looks like a very winnable situation.
