Walker Thrills a Packed House at CPAC
National Review ^ | February 26, 2015 5:26 PM | The Corner

Scott Walker hit all the right notes when he took the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday to address a standing-room-only crowd — even gamely handling a heckler. Walker was talking up Republicans’ push to pass a right-to-work law in Wisconsin, a measure to weaken labor unions, when a heckler stood up and began shouting in the packed ballroom. What he said wasn’t clear, but Walker handled it like a pro: He quipped, “Apparently the protesters come [here] from Wisconsin as well.”

The governor, considered a top contender in the 2016 Republican presidential primary, got a quick standing ovation for his response — one of a number he got during his address.

Could be our next president.
Hope they can fumigate the WH by the time he’s elected.

Ran 7 percentage points ahead of Mediocre Mitt in 2012 election.
Some other contenders actually failed to match Mediocre Mitt’s per cent of the vote.

Republican voters are too swayed by a good speech. We have had lots of people give good speeches. We have lots of candidates say all the right things. And it is good to have someone who can articulate his position well. But we, as Republicans, have to make sure we are voting for someone who will do the right thing, not just say the right thing.

Walker is only known to us because of his accomplishments. Nobody knew him when he first ran for Governor of Wisconsin. Even then, he said what he was going to do to fix the state. But the reason he has become famous, is because he actually did what he said he would do.

And there are two points here. Walker knew what to do. And walker knew how to do it. Its important that we have some guy who can run a government. We need a guy who can articulate what he stands for. And we need a guy who will do what he says. In the Republican Party, we have lots of talkers. But we only have one Walker.

To win 3 times in 4 years in bluish Wisconsin is no easy feat. Especially when you get in a death fight with the unions. So yes, the guy is competent and knows how TO WIN.

I am sure MSM will talk about his lack of college degree, ad nauseum. As if college degree makes you superior? Carter & Obama were among the most educated while Truman & Reagan the least educated. How did that work out?

Fumigate it? Hell tear it down and build a new one free of the stench of the Muslims and Marxists that have debauched it.Do to the WH what Obama is doing to the USA.

One thing certain about Walker is that he won’t rollover for Hillary or whatever Democrat runs against him. Unlike the Republican left candidates who get linguini spines when it comes to fighting anyone but conservatives, Walker is a fighter.

Saw another thread earlier about plans by a group of attendees to walk out during Bush’s appearance. The guy that was quoted said that nobody would interrupt; they would just walk out. Sounds like a great way to make a statement — not confrontational but effective. Just tell Jeb it’s “an act of love”.

He’ll make a solid Veep for Cruz.

Until he gets his immigration and abortion positions straight, Walker has explaining to do.

As those who don’t want Bush walk out, those that have been bused in by Bush will take their place.
