“There had never been a Republican or a Democrat with Palin’s combination of personality, character, youthfulness, and very specifically gendered sort of sex. Even to the critics, she didn’t come off as a pencil-necked weenie like Bobby Jindal or a sound-body-sound-mind orthogonian like Paul Ryan.”
JFK and Bill Clinton seem to prove that point wrong.

Palin's character type eventually appeared to exist everywhere across the vast red swath of the American interior. Conservatives have long understood in what complex way their youthful women could be masculine without losing the femininity. This is very true but to this author is was an amazing discovery. My wife chops wood and change tires while my daughter is a crack shot. Both beautiful women.

40 years from now, When Sarah is 80 something, they will still be writting about her, and she will still be baiting them. She should play poker with these people, she’d be filthy rich.

...
But, to borrow a line of analysis from critical theory, Palin wasn't gendered the same way as other political women, in any party. So this guy is using critical theory? It looks like Sarah Palin lost the vote of the Cultural Commies; i,e, the p c crowd.

Mrs. Palin rubs the marxist press outlets just as abrasively as The Iron Lady of Britain did.
They sling raw tonnage from all angles, but both ladies continue to manage to trudge and shine.

if the whiff of the establishment ... Marco Rubio
It wasn't so much the whiff of the establishment as the stench from stepping into the Gang of 8 and pushing amnesty that did in Rubio.
As for Ernst, she has been in the Senate for a month. Let's see if she does anything beyond supporting the GOPe/McConnell agenda.
If national elections of the last 20 years have taught us anything, it is that an R does not always mean what we thought it would mean. Arkansas, for example, has turned completely from solid Dem to solid Republican. The trouble is -- most of the new R's are moderates who do little beyond supporting the GOPe agenda.

I can't even figure out what the first two paragraphs are supposed to mean. I get the general impression the Liberals are shaking in their boots over Palin, that ought to make it clear just how effective they think she can be.
I've seen several of these anti-Palin liberal rants today and they all follow a simple formula. Convince the reader that they are more cultured than simple Sarah and then use absurdities to say she doesn't have a chance. I would read that as an admission that they are very concerned she has the ability to reach the average person in a way the liberal snobs never can.
Having seen their weakness we should charge right at them on that point.
