Rand Paul’s op-ed on Ferguson shows why he is the most interesting voice in the GOP right now

Even as criticism of Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and other prominent politicians began to mount for their lack of comment on the ongoing crisis in Ferguson, Mo., Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul penned a thought-provoking op-ed on the situation in Time magazine.

"If I had been told to get out of the street as a teenager, there would have been a distinct possibility that I might have smarted off," Paul writes. "But, I wouldn't have expected to be shot." He goes on to make the case for a demilitarization of the police in America within the framework of a broader criticism of "big government"; "Washington has incentivized the militarization of local police precincts by using federal dollars to help municipal governments build what are essentially small armies — where police departments compete to acquire military gear that goes far beyond what most of Americans think of as law enforcement," Paul writes.

Paul also ties what is happening in Missouri to his broader campaign against the government's expanded reach into average Americans' phones and e-mail accounts....

REALLY tired of the left’s media trying to select candidates to run for GOP offices. They are constantly pushing Christi, Bush, Rubio and Paul; none of which is Conservative.

Rand has gotten into his daddy’s koolaid. He’s hallucinating big, bad policemen getting those gang banger blacks who never break any laws, or disturb the peace. Shame on those bad policemen who are trying to end the destruction of their community.

Rand should go hang out with the gang bang blacks.

Excuse me, but race did skew the application of criminal justice for George Zimmerman, so Paul is exactly correct. You have not been paying attention.

Right now the unpredictable and unequal application of the law is a huge problem. It is almost never about the facts or the truth but about what message they want to send to which faction of the electorate.

It isn’t race, you Randy idiot, it’s culture, it’s values. Why is it that Chinese and Vietnamese and Indians don’t seem to have much problem with police?

Rand Paul is a day late and a dollar short on the issue of militarized police.
Conservative Republicans have been complaining about Obama arming local police departments with military surplus equipment like armored Humvees and MRAPs for months. FOX new did a piece on the problem on June 14, saying that Homeland Security was arming police depts around the country.

Where was Rand Paul on the issue then? nowhere, as usual.

Rand paul was saying blacks are in prison more than other groups because of racism not the obvious real answer that black culture is a veritable petrie dish for fostering criminal behavior. He said nothing about the politically correct targeting of non blacks defending themselves against black criminals, like zimmerman. You're comparing apples and doorknobs

You know you'd think that being on the same side of ferguson as al and jesse would make you think- uh oh where did I F*^* up? But it seems you're quite comfortable there aren't you?

The reason that the Chinese, the Vietnamese and Indians don’t have a problem with police is because they are and always have been autocratic societies where they have only the rights allowed by the state.

Of course police states don’t have problems with the police, that isn’t allowed.

He may be the most interesting voice in the gop, but he sure as hell isn’t a Conservative voice. T quote Wolfgang The German “Very interesting.....................but stupid!”
