I don’t think you realize how liberal Rand Paul is, and has come out as a social liberal, and Obama like weak, on foreign policy.

entropy12 knows, that is why he is such a big Rand Paul booster.

I know how liberal Rand Paul is, I only said he is better than Romney. Right now I am more interested in establishing the fact that running only on communicating economics ideas is insufficient. Once we establish that a full-spectrum conservative is necessary, than we demonstrate that Rand Paul doesn’t fill the bill.

entropy12’s purpose is to propagandize, you may notice that he will not respond to posters that he knows will bring a lot of facts to the table.

He is a troll who wants to post a single theme, but not engage in discussion or in depth defense of his liberalism, instead he wants to keep selling a general, and vague, and dishonest theme against conservatism.

Notice how he keeps pushing Romney and painting a false picture of why he lost, while ignoring the shocking and relevant facts on his campaign that actually destroyed him and the GOP in 2012, social liberalism, for instance running pro-choice ads, supporting gay scout leaders, etc.

Rand Paul was a big Romney supporter, and has taken on much of his social liberalism and of course is another Obama/Jimmy Carter on foreign policy.

Well, to some degree the purpose of most of our posts is to propagandize. I do not know personally whether he is a troll, I just know that this "it's just economics" is nonsense.

He is not rude, and I do not personally know that he is disingenuous. So, he can make the case that we should run like some guy in India, and maybe I'll make the case that we should run like Nigel Farage.

Well live and learn.

Why do you think posts to him about the Independent vote, and Romney restating his gay Scout leadership position after he won the primary, running pro-choice ads in Virginia, Ohio, and Wisconsin, and other specifics are ignored and not even acknowledged?

That isn’t a freeper engaging in political discussions, that is a propagandist troll, selling a liberal political theme aggressively, while refusing to engage with conservatives.

This is entropy12’s own thread, he is the thread host, yet notice he will not engage, except selectively.

You are likely right. The alternatives are to pull the thread or ban the poster, or ignore him.

I decided to respond, as my arguments are correct whether or not he is a troll. Inasmuch as he responds to them, with, I believe, weaker or irrelevant, or even contradictory responses, it shows up his argument whether he is a troll or not.

Thanks for the heads up, though. If he is disingenuous, it wouldn’t be the first time I took someone who wasn’t serious at face value.

On the issue of immigration...

The issue has to be addressed one way or another. We simply can not ignore millions of illegals operating in the country. We do not know who is here, what they are doing or where in fact they live.

My solution is to place any one who has no criminal record, at the back of the line of all legal applicants. That will separate the criminals from the law abiding. Those who do not come out of the shadows to go to the back of the waiting line legally, should all be deported pronto.

As a legal immigrant myself, who had to jump through hoops to acquire US citizenship, I am totally against placing illegals ahead of the legal immigration applicants, which is what amnesty basically is.

What America needs is a 50 year end of immigration, to see what we can save from what modern immigration has destroyed, in what was the greatest nation to ever exist.

Aside from a few thousand immigrants for various administrative purposes, we don’t need anymore people, and we sure don’t need anymore ‘multiculturalism, multireligionism, multi languageism’.

The democrats did this to destroy us, and it worked.

We have and will continue to do so until more important things like Obamacare are resolved, and WHEN we deal with it, the correct solution will have nothing to do with "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", but will be a secure borders based piecemeal approach.

My wife is a legal immigrant as well, so I know about the hoops you describe. The current tragedy in Sudan shows how insane the bureaucracy is.

At the top of this thread, you said we must focus on promoting capitalism and the economy. Immigration is as much a social issue as much as it is an economic issue. It is also a wedge issue, that factionalizes the party.

Any immigration legislation has to be done piecemeal, with securing the border coming first.

BTW, Ansell may be right about you. The line I quoted above is almost a word for word parroting of a Chamber of Commerce talking point. Of COURSE we can ignore it. We have for many years! As long as Obamacare is in full force, there are more urgent issues to deal with. Obama looks to change the subject while drowning in his numerous failings and scandals and Boehner drops in with a life preserver marked "Comprehensive Immigration Reform".

Eliminate Obamacare.

I don’t like the idea that my wife couldn’t immigrate from Canada to the U.S. in your plan. Inasmuch as America isn’t having enough children as it is, we will have a Japan style problem in 50 years with that approach.

The way to solve illegal immigration is to make them want to self-deport....Cut off their ability to make a living here. Cut off benefits, and start going after employers who hire them.

I guess you decided to skip the part about the thousands of “administrative” immigrants, for details like yours.

As far as population, we had plenty in 1970, life is becoming hell in America, and exotic foreigners who sustain the democrat party, are not a good replacement for Americans.

If not for immigration, the democrat party would not exist as it does.

If you are conservative, then you should recognize what destroyed your country.

“However, if there is one man who can take the most credit for the 1965 act, it is John F. Kennedy. Kennedy seems to have inherited the resentment his father Joseph felt as an outsider in Boston’s WASP aristocracy. He voted against the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, and supported various refugee acts throughout the 1950s.

In 1958 he wrote a book, A Nation of Immigrants, which attacked the quota system as illogical and without purpose, and the book served as Kennedy’s blueprint for immigration reform after he became president in 1960.
In the summer of 1963, Kennedy sent Congress a proposal calling for the elimination of the national origins quota system. He wanted immigrants admitted on the basis of family reunification and needed skills, without regard to national origin.

After his assassination in November, his brother Robert took up the cause of immigration reform, calling it JFK’s legacy. In the forward to a revised edition of A Nation of Immigrants, issued in 1964 to gain support for the new law, he wrote, “I know of no cause which President Kennedy championed more warmly than the improvement of our immigration policies.” Sold as a memorial to JFK, there was very little opposition to what became known as the Immigration Act of 1965.”

lol I am an old retired guy! No connection to any organization whatsoever. I read a lot on internet and watch Fox News a lot. That is how I form my opinions. All my opinions are based on life long experience of 6 decades. I worked for many years in industry and then for a government funded research lab where I was given a top secret clearance.

As for Ansel12, he is the only ONE poster on this entire FR web site whom I ignore. It goes a long way back and too long to go into here. I try to respond to every one else.

Thanks for all your responses which were all thoughtful and with no rudeness whatsoever. Enjoy your evening.

That would be what I would do if I was the president.
Since I do not have that power, we have to find a solution which is acceptable to majority in congress and the executive. I know what Obama wants, so we will be better off postponing this issue until we get (hopefully) a better president.

You are repeating yourself.

In any event, the poll is worthless because there is no content. Half the people who say unemployment is the biggest problem want more government intervention, not less.

What is SO HARD about saying GET RID OF OBAMACARE? ALL OF IT?

Read "The Trouble with Kansas", save the polls for the Romney people.

Obamacare? omg, I probably have posted more posts on the bad effects and characteristics built in Obamacare than any other subject on various political blog sites. My main reason is it hurts job creation and economy, besides being expensive to indulge in due to very high deductibles.

Republican candidates should make it #1 issue in 2014 elections. But this thread is all about how Mr. Modi won in India, world’s most populous democracy.

Wow, I check in and you are posting about me without pinging me?

You post a topic and then refuse to engage with freepers on your OWN thread, but are not above posting about them behind their back.

You won’t respond to me because I am good at deconstruction of your trolling for rinoism, from Rand Paul to Mitt Romney.

That is why you are merely a troll propagandist, you have the agenda of wanting to move freepers left, and will ignore anyone who can challenge your rather weak arguments and efforts, even on your own propaganda threads.

Ansell12, I apologize for not pinging you in my last post on the thread where I referred to you, though the reference was positive.

As an aside, I disagree with you on the shut down on legal immigration excepting “administrative”, which immigration by marriage in this country is more than merely pro forma administrative, ask the legal immigrant in New Hampshire whose wife is threatened with hanging for not switching to Islam. I do understand your point about the problems stemming from the JFK/RFK changes, I would just like to enforce current laws, secure the border, and allow some legal immigration, mainly from cultures that are not hostile to the traditional American system (pre-’64 rules would be acceptable). I do think that the core problems America has today are largely home grown, and have as much to do with John Dewey, Oliver Wendell Holmes and Margaret Sanger as the do with any imports. It seems that we are torn between the Chamber of Commerce/La Raza open borders crowd, and the Peter Brimelow “Close the door behind me” crowd. I guess that makes me a bit of a moderate, and I admit I have little company in my position, but it is what it is.

Dewey and Sanger didn’t destroy America, immigration did.

The 1965 Immigration Act was because JFK knew that the only time his party had won the traditional voters of America since before the Civil War, was in 1932 and 1936, in other words either overcome white Protestant America, or the democrats couldn’t do what they do now..

Immigration is what ended our future, and why social conservative America no longer exists, and why our history was removed from the textbooks and Hollywood.
