If the GOPe Were Smart They Would Beg Gov. Palin to Come Back Into the Room
A Time For Choosing ^ | November 17, 2012 | Stacy Drake

But this is the “stupid party” we’re talking about, so I won’t hold my breath.

In the wake of the disastrous 2012 election results, there has been a lot of discussion on the right regarding the GOP’s apparent “message” problem. Much of the conversations has focused on immigration issues as a way to bring in new voters. Recently, Charles Krauthammer wrote:

’ve always been of the “enforcement first” school, with the subsequent promise of legalization. I still think it’s the better policy. But many Hispanics fear that there will be nothing beyond enforcement. So, promise amnesty right up front. Secure the border with guaranteed legalization to follow on the day the four border-state governors affirm that illegal immigration has slowed to a trickle.

Imagine Marco Rubio advancing such a policy on the road to 2016. It would transform the landscape. He’d win the Hispanic vote. Yes, win it. A problem fixable with a single policy initiative is not structural. It is solvable.

It’s going to take much more than that to solve the current issues the GOP has with voters. You can’t pander to one racial demographic and think that will solve all of your problems. The predicament that they find themselves in goes much deeper than a single issue, and it’s based primarily on trust. According to an election night survey released by Breitbart News, Judicial Watch, and Public Opinion Strategies:

Voters’ responses suggest that the American public agrees with conservative policies–but does not trust the Republican Party to implement them....

Has anyone thought of this that maybe Sarah did not run for President because she knows this country is going downhill. It is better to let someone own it. Once this nation hits the bottom that is when she will come in and step in. I do believe in my Heart that God has a plan for her regarding our nation. I have no doubt folks she will be our Queen Esther.

“Palin Cult of Personalty”

Come on now...you know

A cult of personality arises when an individual uses mass media, propaganda, or other methods, to create an idealized, heroic, and, at times god-like public image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise.

You stated Palin could:
Sarah will start the Tea Party and become President with out the GOOp.

That my FReind will never ever happen

I rest my case...

Palin is the only down to earth American that fully realize that the GOP is currently run by garbage and that Democrats are more aligned with communists than a Constitutional America. There are a few others that may be close to equal but they have no guts.

Republicans have kowtowed to the illegal immigration lobby again and again, but their appeasement has never garnered them a greater share of the Hispanic vote.

I heard Rush reading the statistics on this the other day, and it was eye opening. Even Reagan’s signing of the ‘86 amnesty didn’t result in a significant rise in Hispanic votes for the GOP.

It’s a losing issue for Republicans, so they may as well stand on principles and the rule of law. That position resonates with the conservative base, and helps to win elections.

If the GOP-e were smart, they wouldn’t be the GOP-e. The GOP-e just want to use Palin as a trojan horse to get over with conservatives before they do what they always do and that’s sell them out. How many times do conservatives have to be duped before they cut these traitors off?

Mitt Backstabber Romney attacked Gov. Palin
and THREW Election 2008to Obama.

Romney supported Obama in the years,
until Romney ran having attacked
every other conservative mercilessly.
Gov. Palin was not even allowed
to SPEAK at the convention.

Then Romney lost by being passive.
Obama won TWICE because of Romney
and Romney’s anti-Gov.Palin attitude.

The GOP has folded in with the dems, and have shut out the Conservatives. I think Palin saw this coming and decided that backing or associating with the GOP was a lost cause, instead She is pursuing Her own interests now. I doubt She would give the GOP the correct time of day now.

If Sarah Palin wants inside the GOP room, she should stand up make a case for it.

You assume that Sarah has a desire to be invited into the Grungy Old Posers' room, but nothing could be further from the truth.

She stands for, and stridently supports the core values and common agreements that birthed this nation -- the same things the GOP disdains, and has tried to sweep into the dustbin of history.

They'll never invite her into their dank, subterranean lair, and will continue to do everything in their power to sideline and marginalize her.

No....all of the mass media was against Palin... Not most...

I don’t belong to any cult....politically or religiously...

My point which you either purposely are missing or simply are being obtuse is there is a contingent of FReepers who think Sarah Palin can save the conservative movement or lead them out of the wilderness ...

Those hopes are not realistic...

She went commercial to recover financially from the pain her family suffered after all the Soros/Obama contrived lawsuits and that clouded her otherwise positive image.

Yeah, it's just so wrong for conservative public figures to use their God-given talents, brains, and entrepreneurial initiative to participate in the free market. (rolls eyes)

The Republicans are not smart and I seriously question the smarts of conservatives that maintain a membership or registration with the party.

Dont be the battered wife enabler to a bunch of people that dont like you and never will.

You are right, hope is not realistic. Hope and change form Obama was not. I am not part of the cult of all is lost and that only bad things will happen. My hope is unrealistic. Should I hope for someone bad, not meeting my core values?

I would estimate that "half" of the character-assassination ideas against Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich came from ...

well, without mentioning any names ...

some guy and his buddies from the "Severly Conservative" planet Kolob in the Constellation Cancer ...

all "celestial god-children" ... every one.

One thing I’m pretty certain of is that whomever the GOPe invites into the fold as a candidate, we don’t want.

Gov. Palin strikes me as someone who knows when to await an invite—and when not to.
