Open Letter to Reince Priebus and the GOP
A Time For Choosing ^ | November 9, 2012 | Isabel Matos

Posted on 11/10/2012 4:45:44 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Well, the results are in and everything we predicted came true. Because we ARE patriots we supported YOUR candidate, Mitt Romney.

It is shameful the way the TEA PARTY and CONSERVATIVE base was dismissed, ignored and disrespected throughout the year. Ron Paul delegates were shut out of the process and denied their right to cast their votes for their delegate at the convention in Tampa. This was poisonous to our cause.

Sarah PALIN was also the most qualified person to lead the party this year and she was shunned. There will be people saying how it was her fault she didn’t do more, or that she is not qualified or experienced enough to be president should she decide to run.

I have news for you. The party is over. Your party. The GOP has failed and Mitt Romney lost because of his own mistakes. LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE REPUBLICANS never win races, even when they fake being REFORMED CONSERVATIVES. Let this be a lesson.

And may I add: YOU will not blame Sarah PALIN for what happened in 2012. She will NOT be scapegoated like she was by Mitt Romney’s advisors in 08. It will not be tolerated by us, her supporters, which represent MOST of the party base.

SHAME on you for NOT listening to us, for not heeding our warnings, and for being so obstinate and missing the point.

It’s time for YOU TO accept responsibility for this failure.

Sincerely yours,

Isabel Matos Miami, FL

I like Sarah Palin...but she is not electable in this environment. The media has made her radioactive to even the most normal of women.

I am sure that, that radioactivity influenced the decision to exclude her, but it thinks that she will just go away. Prebus and his ilk are deathly afraid that she will run in 2016 and that they simply cannot have.

"...OR talks should start with Constructional Party to have the Tea Party leave the GOP and join them!"

There's no such thing as the Constructional Party....the word you're groping for is "Constitutional".

Come on, people....we have standards here.

Steele had nothing o do with the 2010 elections of Republicans. In fact, he gave an interview months before that election predicting Republicans would not take over the House. Get over Steele, he is a big RINO and a liar to boot.

talks should start with Constructional Party to have the Tea Party leave the GOP and join them! Sarah Palin needs one good Tweet and the GOP is finished.

Um, I'm thinking you meant the Constitution Party?

And yes, Sarah now holds a terrible weapon in her hand. Should she ever send that fateful tweet, somewhere in the course of those 140 characters, the RNC would suffer a mortal wound, if it has not already. She doubtless knows this but she may be somewhat reluctant to be the person who gives that Grand Old Pachyderm one last nudge into oblivion. No going back after that.

We won in 2010 in spite of Steele, not because of him. He was a piss-poor chairman.

Michael Steele’s contract as a contributor to MSNBC is the only proof we need to prove he’s a RINO. We need a TRUE conservative to lead the RNC. But doubt I’ll live to see that ever happen

Agree.

This was still a black Democrat with huge turnout accordingly by blacks. Latinos were bought with the Dream Act. Gays with gay marriage. Young women scared for their lady parts. The party of fear.

Yet with all that and the entire MSM against him, Mitt lost by 350,000 swing state voters.

It wasn't just a win ~ lots of folks have presided over wins ~ this was an historic win ~ better than anything for 70 years sort of win ~ a real win.

You can tell us how terrible Steele was at running the RNC and I will respond to you that it's pretty obvious you are no judge of political success!

You can have the smart, wonkish, accomplished individuals on the presidential ticket. You can have knowledgeable, likeable, attractive individuals on the ticket. You can have individuals who can spit out facts, figures, stats, ideas like they take their next breath. However, if the person does not have charisma, leadership, and ability to push the right buttons on the listening audience and fire them up... if the person cannot get people to look up to them and follow them, then all of the previous qualities will not push them over the top.

The GOPers decided to run a lukewarm campaign in a year when there was white hot issues. They sounded stale and boring. In their effort to not offend independents, they failed to fire up people who were not politically well plugged in.

One of their biggest mistakes was to sideline, ignore, discredit Sarah Palin. One of the best tools available to them, and they decided to hide her away...why?... because she does not always dance to their song.

You should see these RNC creatures up close.

Vile disgusting blue blood country club types with greedy pulled back wives.

The RNC members will do just fine, they are after all the political class and skim off the top the money the IRS extorts from the working man.

This election was over who gets to control the money, not about mitigating the greatest threat to American freedom wealth and prosperity, the federal apparatchiks in DC and Arlington.

I like your model. It reminds me a great deal of good general sales technique. I know (and work for) a very weathy person here in Springfield who shared one of the ideas most important to his own success, that of “embracing the objection.” Too often, he says, you can get into debates with the prospect about why their objection is just silly and they should like your product. Bad approach. Shields go up. Nothing happens.

He says when you encounter an objection, you need learn about that objection from them, to so wrap your mind around their objection that if you were actually them, with their background and their expereinces, you would feel the same way they do. Only from a place that deep inside their world can you build a rational path back out to a place where they can see, on their own, how your product meets their needs, if in fact it does.

If there is to be a new party, it might be Texas Republicans that start it. We have no voice as to who the nominee is, because our primary is so late.....and we are the only state that can deliver 38 guaranteed electoral votes for the Republican Nominee, good luck trying to win without them. Time to use our leverage to change the party, or to leave it.

So they pay him. FOX didn't hire him. I'd imagine some of the folks at FOX were behind the movement to fire him after a victory like that. How dare he upstage the last 50 RNC chairmen ~ i can see Ailes in my mind's eye stomping and snorting around his executive suite just fuming about this turn of affairs.

Even Steele's assistant's foray into eliciting Hollywood lesbian support has been paying off. Lindsay Lohan made quite a stir coming out for Romney. What are other Republicans doing in California?

He's also RIGHT TO LIFE and virtually none of your RINOs are RIGHT TO LIFE ~ they always gotta' have an exception so they can continue to kill babies.

The primary system is demented, and the RNC tries to punish any state that dares not follow their schedule.

Texas ought to hold their primary for 2016 in 2014, the hell with Iowa and some of the other states with open primaries screwing up the nominating process.

The RNC has no idea whats coming, the gloves are off, the conservative Governors must lead the way.

Michael Steele is a race card carrying moron, and this Priebus character should immediately resign, as it would be the honorable thing to do after pushing shoving this shape shifting vampire MYTH ROMNEY down our throats.

REINCE PRIEBUS MUST RESIGN

"It wasn't just a win ~ lots of folks have presided over wins ~ this was an historic win"

And yet, he had nothing to do with it. I suggest you talk to FReeper ChicagoLady, who was the nominee during one of the special Congressional elections that Steele ignored during his tenure (indeed, he was more interested in fawning over liberal RINOs rather than Conservatives). It was a motivated base and the Tea Party that was responsible for the 2010 wins. Zero himself did more for turnout than Michael Steele, who was incompetent and remains one of the worst party chairs of the past 50 years.

happy to talk to her ~ so a Republican runs in Chicago ~ right, and gets ignored.

Clue ~ there's a reason for that ~

Been watching close to see who would throw the race card ~ you did it!

I suspect the greater problem is the GOP-e decided they were oversubscribed with Right To Lifers in Republican ranks ~ they were being embarassed, so they thought, in their confabs with Leftwing elitists at Georgetown cocktail parties.

It's time to purge the GOP-e. Maybe Mike has some special names he'd like to pass along for the honor of 'FIRST TO GO"
