Palin Backs Romney — With a $5,000 Check
The Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire ^ | November 2, 2012 | Brody Mullins

If money talks, then Sarah Palin has finally endorsed Mitt Romney.

Newly released campaign-finance reports show that Ms. Palin’s political fund donated $5,000 to Mr. Romney’s presidential campaign Wednesday.

Ms. Palin is normally known for her splashy endorsements, but the donation from SarahPAC was made without fanfare: It was buried amid hundreds of pages of donations disclosed on Form 6 of Mr. Romney’s “Filing FEC-831889” made public Friday.

Ms. Palin, a former Alaska governor who was the GOP vice presidential nominee in 2008, declined to make an endorsement during the presidential primary, choosing instead to continue speculation that she might throw her hat into the ring at any moment. When Mr. Romney all but sewed up the Republican nomination, Ms. Palin continued to withhold her endorsement.

Interestingly, after Mr. Romney tapped Rep. Paul Ryan to be his running mate, Ms. Palin posted a statement on her Facebook page praising Mr. Ryan and bashing President Barack Obama. Some people viewed that statement as an endorsement of Mr. Romney, though she didn’t use the word “endorse” in the 1,175-word statement, which focused mostly on the president...

For all the crap Palin gets from the GOP punditry about self-promotion and whatnot (and I do agree that she’s not the most articulate), at least she steadfastly supports the cause... Unlike some other favorite governor of some pundits who felt the need to shamelessly kiss the president’s all week...because he “doesn’t give a damn about elections.”

If Alaska was decimated like New Jersey was and Palin was still Governor there, she would have acted just like CC did this week. CC had no choice and neither would Palin.

Glad to see Palin contributing, though I do worry that these types of things get the left excited.

I would like Trump to go away the rest of the week and some other high profile, lefty lightning rods to lay low as well. They’re demoralized, don’t give them any reason to get excited and vote.

She would praise his response to the hilt before any response? I would hope not.

She’s much more “articulate” today than when she was plucked from relative obscurity in 2008.

Sarah Palin's Ping List

PALIN:" No no no no! Please go vote! Let me ask you — man, do me a favor. If this go-around you don’t know who you dislike more or like more, Romney or Obama — this go-around, give Romney a shot.

We don’t want to repeat the failed policies of President Obama. That’s insanity, to repeat the same failures over and over again and expect a different result."

Just wondering where the money actually came from - SP’s personal funds or money from previous political donations?

If the 5K did not come from the Palin’s own resources, is it truly an endorsement, or is it more of an additional push across the finish line to rid ourselves of the Kenyan couple in the WH?

If it was Sarah’s own money than that sends a somewhat different message, imo.

Nice thought but a little late I would think. It’s not like another five large makes a difference. Romney has plenty of money.
You’d think they could have found a way to make her useful. Then again, I’m not sure I could pick a place to send her. We’d lover her in Idaho but it’s already in the bag.

Hi Onyx!

I posted this on Friday—my two boys are in Ocean County NJ where Sandy hit hard:

“I have two sons pulling up to 22 hour shifts, one guarding downed power lines in Monmouth County, the other trying to get the phone system up at the Seaside Heights police station. One got his home’s power restored yesterday in Toms River, and one is still without power in Lakehurst.

They have put up with no heat, no gasoline, no showers—yet they get up each morning to do their best in the face of utter devastation.

We live in southern DE, and we got through Sandy with very few problems.

This afternoon we were in Dover, DE, and saw a fifteen truck convoy from Chain Electric from somewhere in Mississippi heading north

Well,I lost it, knowing they were on the way to help my sons and so many others in NY and Nj who need them so much. God bless them for coming to help, it was like watching the Cavalry come to the rescue.”

I later found out Chain Electric is from Hattiesburg, MS.

Thank you, Mississippi, for the help!!!

The article implies it is from her PAC, which she controls.

Very happy to know the good folks of Chain Electric, Hattiesburg, MS are helping out.

A team from Alabama were turned away because they were not union!
