Polls Are Collapsing For Obama All Over The Place After The Debate
Business Insider ^ | October 6, 2012 | Brett LoGiurato

Both national and swing-state polls are beginning to tighten in the presidential race between President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney. It's a signal that an expected Romney bump is starting to take shape after his consensus win in the first presidential debate on Wednesday.

Polls that track both national and swing state voting have shown nothing but bad news for the president over the last couple of days.

Here's a sampling of the national polls:

Gallup: Romney is starting to close in on Obama, trailing by only 3 points in the seven-day rolling average. And that average only reflects two days of surveys post-debate, so the full effect won't be known until next Wednesday.

Rasmussen: Rasmussen has had wild swings and tends to be Republican-leaning this election, but Romney holds a 2-point advantage here.

Reuters/Ipsos: Here, the race has tightened from a 6-point Obama lead pre-debate to only a 2-point lead on Friday. But Saturday didn't provide any further bounce for Romney in the online survey.

And in swing states:

Florida: Two polls — from Rasmussen and We Ask America — found Romney in the lead here on Friday by 2 and 3 points, respectively. Both polling firms tend to lean Republican.
Virginia: The same two firms — again, leaning Republican — found Romney with 1- and 3-point leads, respectively....

Watch the internals. If they start oversampling Republicans you know its to give Romney a lead they will yank after the next debate. Obama will be the comeback kid again.

They are desperate to energize his deflated supporters.

The next debate is on foreign policy and I will be very surprised if obama soesn’t try to get out of it or makes Benghazi off limits because of an ‘ongoing investigation’.

Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan and his wife Janna, walk towards Elly’s Tea and Coffee House Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, in Muscatine, Iowa. Ryan is on his “Victory in Iowa” bus tour.

I have a feeling that something is going to happen after the 2nd debate, so that the 3rd debate will have to be cancelled.

He needs to win the third debate at the least. First and last impressions are lasting ones.

The left's mantra is basically:

IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA IN 2008, but Refuse to vote at all in 2012:

>>The next debate is on foreign policy

Actually the next debate is town hall format and includes both domestic and foreign policy. This will be a tough one, but still the pressure is on Barry O. to win it. All Mitt has to do is hold his own. Contrary to most people here, I think his best bet is to be cool (but firm) in this one.

I think Obama is a racist Socialist, whom I don’t like at all. I did not for the idiot in the first place.

The fact is that he’s not been challenged.

He was terrible at debate during the 2008 primaries. He was messiah like only when he was scripted on his teleprompter and added the reverb to the mics, and he phoned in his time in the IL legislature/Senate.

Couple that with the Chicago thugs, and their shabby treatment of Hillary!, and you have the makings of an emperor who has no clothes.

There is no way he can learn to debate effectively between now and the election.

No way at all.
