Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.

Bush should have done what Zero did - just make up his own law and tell America in a speech this is the way it is to be. Zero has shown us that is all that is needed to make laws - never mind the US Consition Article 1, Section 8........"To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

And this congress should do exactly what the Democrat super majority congress elected in 1974 in the wake of Watergate did to the Ford Administration: cut off funding for anything the executive branch tried to do that they didn't like.

People forget that the infamous picture posted below was a result of a congressional aid cut-off.

North Vietnam re-invaded the south in direct violation of the armistice signed two years earlier. South Vietnam asked for naval support as we were obligated to provide under the terms of the armistice, but congress cut off funding for the operation.

While slowing the invasion by shelling the invasion route might have stopped it or might have only delayed it, at least it most certainly would have ensured more lives being saved and a more orderly evacuation. But the Democrat super majority in congress would have none of it and the North Vietnamese timed their re-invasion perfectly to take advantage of this weakness.
