Congressman Fred Upton and challenger Jack Hoogendyk will debate in Kalamazoo on June 10.
The debate will take place at Western Michigan University's Schneider Hall from 7 to 8 p.m.
It is co-sponsored by the MLive/Kalamazoo Gazette and WMUK (102.1 FM).
During the debate, the candidates will discuss the state of the economy, energy, health care, government spending, and how the candidate would help the 6th District. Each candidate will make opening and closing statements.
Hoogendyk's campaign manager Steven Mobley said Friday that the campaign still wants to have a total of six debates in the district before the Aug. 7 primary election.
Upton campaign manager Joe Wicks said Friday that the campaign is "working on scheduling other debates."

Hopefully this will get more local attention than most Congressional debates. Fred Upton is part of the problem and Hoogedyk is the kind willing to stand up for what’s needed. We’re in urgent times.
Fred Upton can kiss my beautress (a little UN lingo), but his niece...wow:
