Did she simply brush imperially by, not deigning to even acknowledge the conservative rabble? That would sound typical.
As for Steinem, recall that she “infiltrated” the Playboy mansion in 1963. That’ll soon be a half century gone and she was pushing thirty then.
Age isn’t the issue, it’s just that Steinem is such a leftwing nutcake, kind of a progressive Gaddafi, and making about as much sense.

My Dad had a favorite term for idiots like her; Blibbit. Sadly, he died before telling he the exact meaning and genesis of the word, but it sure did seem to fit.My dad used to use that word. He never said where it came from, but he was sure it meant, "Ten pounds of sh!t in a five-pound bag."
That certainly describes the article.
BTW, he always pronounced it "blivit".
