SCARBOROUGH: You Need To Question Obama's Birth To Be Considered A Real Conservative These Days
Business Insider ^ | February 16, 2011 | Steven Loeb

Joe Scarborough may be a morning talk show host now, but from 1995 to 2001 he was a Republican Representative from Florida, and a very conservative one at that. So when he comes out and takes aim at his former party, it really makes you wonder how far they have fallen. (Especially considering it's not a ratings grab.)

When asked last night by Chris Matthews why Sarah Palin did so poorly in the straw poll at CPAC, which she did not attend and only got 6% of the vote, Scarborough did not beat around the bush, blasting her for her behavior after the tragedy in Tuscon and for being a negative, divisive figure.

"It seems like everything she says seems to always involve a fight. She just hasn't had the political operatives around her that could say, 'you need have a positive message. How are you going to project yourself?' And I do think at this point she's put herself in a terrible position politically. I think most Republicans I talked to that felt sorry for her in 2008 thought the media was unfair to her in 2008, have now just sort of shook their heads and moved on and said she's not serious enough to be President of the United States and I think that's why you see the numbers dropping and I suspect, like Newt Gingrich, the scar tissue has already gotten too severe for him. I just don't think that they can win the nomination."

And then he went after the rest of the Republican Party, who he says are not conservative enough.....

This from a guy who never rose above a house seat, had to resign all of a sudden when a dead girl was found in his office, and who's ratings are not exactly world-class. Jealous much, RINO?

So-o-o-o-o.....does that mean Chris Matthews is a REAL Conservative now?

Joe, when I want your opinion, I’ll bust open a brand new roll of Safeway 2-ply and encourage you to let fly with your very best, K?

Used to like Joe Scarborough but since he has been hanging with liberal folks, he has mellowed (read become more liberal) in his views. Too bad, he has succumbed to the DC crowd just as most of the Senators and Representatives.

Yes, there is such a thing as group think and it is prevalent in Washington. It is really tough for a Conservative to support their beliefs. If they also have to raise money for the next election, they are essentially doomed to DC politics (ie. dishonesty, money grubbing, taking bribes, etc.). We have very few honest people in Washington and it will remain so regardless of the election cycles.

This might change IF a genuine Statesman is ever found and elected. I doubt that today there is such a man...

It is so frustrating to have no one, NO ONE, who can take Scarborough on! Where is FOX? Guess they think he is mild compared to Keith O., but Joe gets under my skin and he gets away with it time and again, with no push back.

On the other hand, ignoring him keeps him irrelevant.

Thank you for having this little talk.

“I think that’s sad and pathetic and that’s why the Republican party is where it is right now.”- Joe Scarborough

I think it is sad and pathetic that Scarborough has to sit around sucking up to Chris Matthews and ridiculing conservatives to keep his sad and pathetic little job in the MSM.

Scarborough has sold out and is trying to be just another liberal parroting whatever are the current talking points of the MSM.

Go away Scarborough. You have nothing to say and your posturing and backstabbing is really sickening.

Not really. But there is a long list of things this president is hiding, so if you want to be taken seriously, pick one. Aren't you even the least bit curious what he's so anxious to hide?

I watch the online version since I do not get any US news broadcast in Thailand. He is not very impressive if he really is a conservative. IMHO, I believe he is clueless about liberals and how they operate. He tries very hard on the show to be civil and he is the only one. Occasionally Buchanan comes on and he does nothing but throw softballs. If these two guys represent conservatives today then we best pack it up and surrender. I get the feeling they need the job as no one else would hire them so they are always looking for nice.

This week Joe asked Mika where Code Pink was and all the other liberals who came out attacking Bush’s war policies. Obama has the same policies in both Iraq and Afghanistan and the left is strangely quiet. Republican wars are immoral while liberal ones are not. He said this three times to Mika and she went Stone Cold Silent. Joe just looked at her.

On the other hand, Mika will force him to answer any and all questions when attacking Republicans. The man is weak intellectually and physically. Too bad I do not get Fox News here. Joe “gets under my skin” claiming to be a true conservative but trashing conservatives to pander to his liberal crew. He is irrelevant and I think he knows it. Buchanan certainly knows he is irrelevant. Jobs security!

He represented a very Conservative rural Florida Panhandle district, even though I am not sure that he was as Conservative as his district.

He went from a reliable Conservative vote to a nut case, with a terrible temper and radical left wing views in a matter of a couple of years.

He left his seat after the dead girl was found, got a divorce, fell out of his kids tree house, and sustained crippling injuries, went back to practicing Law,then jumped to MSNBC. Sounds like all over the map.

When he was first on MSNBC after the Tree house fall, he was obviously on pain meds that were not helping because he was mean and miserable and pretty uncomfortable looking. I could not watch that agitation, it was painful to observe. He is now remarried with more kids, and I believe he has to be a dirty turncoat to keep his job at MSNBC and appearances on other NBC bullcrap stations.

Ah, not to worry...Bill O’Reilly “investigated” the birth certificate issue...(well technically, “The Factor” did the investigating) - and guess what? IT’S BOGUS! Bogus he says, because there was a birth announcement in two Honolulu newspapers. What a tool that guy is!

Kind of odd that Scarborough and O’Reilly (with the help tonight of Tokyo Rove) are really trying to beat back the eligibility issue now.
Almost like someone, somewhere is in a panic......Kind of odd.

This man was an ambulance-chasing lawyer in Pensacola who will follow the money every time. These people have no real principles...don’t expect it. He will take whatever position that he is paid to. That’s show business!

Considering the dead campaign staffer that turned up in his office right before he resigned to “spend time with the family”
