And if this is true, then it is further evidence that the Whitmans did not know she was illegal. Because, if they did know she was illegal, there would be no point at all in telling the maid to check into the matter.

I discounted her eating peppers because of her background (she may be used to hot food) but didn't think of lacing the fingers with pepper. Better yet, lace the hankerchief so the more you wipe the more you cry.

No that is faked outrage on Allred’s face, outrage over the abuse this poor undocumented woman had to withstand, a prisoner held hostage by a rich couple for $32 per hour. She only wanted to go back home (Mexico) but wasn't allowed to as a prisoner, then as a final outrage she was terminated for being illegal which forced her to go public with her story, that she wasn't fired soon enough by Whitman to be proper. Obviously Whitman should have defied the warnings in the SS mis-match letter that told her NOT to fire the illegal.
Allred's look in the picture reminds me of Hillary, or Pelosi complaining about Bush.
