Regarding the fake IDs presented by the housekeeper, it is interesting to note that federal law does not allow the employer to choose what documents are presented by the employee. There is a list of acceptable documents. Unless a document is clearly a fake, the employer can be sued for asking for additional proof that an employee is here legally and has the right to be employed in the U.S.

She hired through an agency. It is the agency's responsibility to check the docs and validate them. That is why the wage is so high -- the agency is getting a cut of that. I will bet that Whitman paid the agency directly, and the agency cut a check to the worker, after deducting fees for taxes, health insurance, and their cut. Whitman could have bought the contract from the agency with a large fee up front.

The last time I hired through an agency, the fee was around $8000 and the worker went to jail a month later. We worked with him through his incarceration, and he came back a year later. That was when we finished with the payments to the agency. The employee stayed less than a year, and he left on good terms with us. I'm still mad at the agency, however, and I will not use them again.

What is Jerry Brown going to do about prosecuting an illegal alien who has committed fraud in his state?

Since he is the sitting Attorney General of the state, this matter demonstrates his incompetence and coddling of scofflaws.

This is the perfect issue to be raised before a California election for governor.

Law-abiding citizens have been furious with their politicians for years for this irresponsible conduct with respect to illegals.

Let this election be a referendum on the most neglected law enforcement problem in America.

Let this election be about liberals like Jerry Brown who are responsible for turning one of America's strongest economic engines into an insolvent state headed for third-world status.

And if we found out the housekeeper took the letter before Meg Whitman and her husband read it, the housekeeper could be facing a FEDERAL felony for stealing USPS mail and Ms. Allred could also be facing Federal charges for abetting a Federal felony. The letter from SS held by Allred clearly says that the SS mis-match was a paperwork error and : "Any employer that uses information in this letter to justify taking adverse action against an employee may violate state and federal law and be subject to legal consequences" . Yet last night on MSNBC Schultz and Olbermann claimed this letter told Whitman that Nicky was an illegal alien and should have been fired, nothing in the letter talks about illegals. Another big liberal lie!!

Still, it breaks my heart to see this brave woman cry knowing she was treated like a slave for $23 per hour. How can the rich is America be so cruel? Obviously you cant get Americans to work for $23 per hour in California. I bet they held a gun to this poor woman's head and kept her prisoner till they fired her.

We need Obama to step in and pardon this woman. Where is Arnold on this? How about Meg-cow Mccain? Rev Al? Jesse?

Soon Nicky will be able to go to college at taxpayer expense in CA, the new law just signed. maybe she will become a lawyer and work for the civil rights department so she can sue employers that fire illegals.
