Bill O'Reilly: Did You Know Republicans Are Stupid And Evil? (Calls Birtherism "Madness")
Fox News ^ | February 4, 2010 | Bill O'Reilly

Posted on 02/04/2010 2:25:23 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

The radical-loon Web site Daily Kos has a new poll out, but don't get too excited. Their poll in Massachusetts had the Senate race too close to call.

Apparently the leader of the Kos brigade is writing a book comparing Republicans and conservatives to the Taliban, and so this poll was designed to back up his insane point of view.

The survey says 39 percent of self-identified Republicans believe President Obama should be impeached. Sixty-three percent believe he is a socialist. Only 42 percent of GOPers think the president was actually born in the United States. And 31 percent believe he hates white people.

Now, if you believe that poll, you also believe Nancy Pelosi once dated Dick Cheney. The poll is a fraud, as is the Web site. But what is serious is the hatred that ideological Internet nuts continue to spew out there, and they have enablers on TV and radio, as we all know.

In fact, President Obama himself is very annoyed by the continuing intrusion that cable news has upon his administration. On Wednesday, he said this while addressing Democratic senators:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: If everybody here turned off your CNN, your Fox, your, you know, just turn off the TV, MSNBC, blogs, and just go talk to folks out there, instead of being in this echo chamber where the topic is constantly politics.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Now, "Talking Points" understands the president's pique, but when you consider that the mainstream media has been very friendly to Mr. Obama, his concern about cable TV news rings somewhat hollow.(continued)

I'm sure Ted Baxter lumps us together with the Kos Kids, DUmmies and HuffandPuffers.

The fact that it hasn't been satisfactorily resolved is where the madness comes in.

I wouldn’t call it “madness” ... but I think, at this point, it is doing more harm than good — i.e. it swings more voters against us than for us. Until we have more information (which we should still pursue), I think it’d be beneficial to the electoral chances in November to let the issue rest.

I am quite sure many here will disagree.

It’s sickening watching Ted suck up to liberals hoping to be accepted into their clique.

Sixty-three percent believe he is a socialist.

A year ago, Newsweek ran a cover story which opined that "We're All Socialists Now". That would imply that 100% of everyone thinks that 100% of everyone else is a Socialist.

53% of Democrats believe Bush was involved in a conspiracy on 911; Homeland Security is a front for eventual martial law; 911 was an inside job, and the towers fell due to planted explosives. Wqaiting for that poll to be published.

it swings more voters against us than for us.

That's why the Dems are swinging hard on the issue all of a sudden. They think it's a winning strategy to paint Republicans as "birthers" and therefore "crazy fringe lunatics".

They better be careful, though. In 2004, John Edwards would have used the same tactic to attack anyone who questioned his fidelity to his wife.

I am a birther.

I think the best evidence that we are succeeding to undermine the Kenyan is the level of vitriol we generate.

The Kenyan’s vital records are sealed. Why? What is he hiding? Why won’t he just release his birth certificate to put the doubts to rest?

Because he doesn’t have a birth certificate.

He’s just echoing Glenn Beck.

Look. Fox News is not on the Birther Bandwagon.

I believe it will be some English or Canadian newspaper that finally breaks the truth of Obama’s illegitimate presidency.

Certainly not Fox or any other American media outlet.

Hey Billy...

Which of the following two selections is more indicative of insanity or madness: 1) asking for proof of eligibility to hold the presidency, as required by the Constitution, or 2) spending over a million dollars in legal fees rather than simply producing the document in question and putting the issue to rest? Idiot.

Until we have more information (which we should still pursue),

You don't go quite far enough. What "information" would suffice? Unless someone can prove that Obama's mother was not American born (nobody has argued that), the case is closed: Obama is a ntural born citizen and legally qualified to be president. Whoever thought up this "birther" nonsense?

I think we’re pretty much on the same page. If you can get hard evidence that the certificate is a forgery or something, the issue is worth revisiting. But, at this point, you need documentary proof ... not just supposition and conjecture.

Clearly, the absence of proof isn’t going to suffice, as far as the public is concerned, as proof of absence. I understand that believers in this issue want answers ... but it would be better tactically to quietly pursue answers rather than loudly doing so. Come back loudly when you have answers.

Hey Bill - let me rephrase the question: is he a NATURAL BORN citizen, as required by the Constitution?

O'Reilly's "best research staff in the biz" can't answer any of these questions.

0bamas’ hidden records: Why are these off limits?

1 Certified copy of original birth certificate
2 Columbia University transcripts
3 Columbia thesis paper
4 Campaign donor analysis requested by 7 major watchdog groups
5 Harvard University transcripts
6 Illinois State Senate records
7 Illinois State Senate schedule
8 Law practice client list and billing records/summary
9 Locations and names of all half-siblings and step-mother
10 Medical records (only the one page summary released so far)
11 Occidental College Transcripts
12 Parent’s marriage Certificate
13 Record of baptism
14 Selective Service registration records
(Did Obama Actually Register for Selective Service?
This supposed revelation of 0's SS records has been debunked here and here.)
15 Schedules for trips outside of the United States before 2007
16 Passport records for all passports
17 Scholarly articles
18 SAT and LSAT test scores
19 Access to his grandmother in Kenya
20 List of all campaign workers that are lobbyists
21 Punahou grade school records
22 Noelani Kindergarten records are oddly missing from the the State of Hawaii Department of Education.
23 Page 11 of Stanley Ann Dunham's divorce decree.
24 Why did Barack Obama resign from the Illinois bar and where are all of the relevant documents?
25 Why did Michelle Obama resign from the Illinois bar after only about four years of practice and where are all of the relevant documents?

Anyone who cares about their country would be very concerned that a POTUS had hidden every scrap of information of his life that he possibly could.

Mind you, I think he is probably hiding something (perhaps an illegitimate birth) but I see no reason to believe that he lied about the identity of his mother.

I think the nation will always be in the same hole it’s in - where we go from electing Republicans who screw us to Democrats who screw us - unless and until we get a handle on government corruption. And this is one steaming pile of government corruption. See http://butterdezillion.wordpress.com/ and follow the link at the end to see how it all applies to Obama’s eligibility issue.

I think most people reject Al Capone running every facet of our federal, state, and local government. And that’s where this train wreck is headed if we don’t do something drastic to stop it now.

Maybe the Israelis, although I honestly wonder if they have the good on Obama and that’s why he did a 180 turn in the past week or so, to side with Israel over the Islamofacsicts.

The Factor” has proven that Barack Obama was indeed born in America. It would have been impossible for anyone to get bogus birth announcements into two newspapers. And why would anyone bother unless they knew baby Barack would someday become President Barack? The birther deal is just madness.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Well, Gee!...Since it's so settled then why not just release the long form birth certificate?

Since it's so settled, why is Obama using DOJ attorneys and tying up the time of federal judges and federal courts in an attempt to prevent the release of his long form birth certificate?

If he is using federal courts, federal judges, and DOJ attorneys and citizen tax dollars just to make the birthers look loony, I don't think the American people will be amused with this waste of U.S. resources and money.
